How to change the time?

Hello, first of all, i'd like to say i'm not new to forums at all, I sponsor about 7 different car forums for my company and am a member on countless other forums. I guess I'm just missing or skipping over something on this one and can't figure it out. :shrug:

I live in New Orleans, La which is in the Central time zone but in order to get the time right for me on the forum I have to have my settings set to Mountain time zone. Why is this?

Also, is there a way to get the time in the standard 12hr block and off of the 24hr/military time block?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in Advanced!:animwink:

Go to User CP > Edit Options, scroll down to Date & Time Options. Set Central Time and select "Automatically detect DST settings" if it isn't selected in the DST correction option. In theory, that should get you set to the correct time zone.

I don't think you can change away from the 24-hour format, simply because the base time for the forums is world-wide. Somebody else may know how, but I couldn't find anything.

Thank you! I new I had to be missing something and I was, I had my DST set to always on and not automatic.

I can live with the 24hr time block, I was just wondering if it could be changed though.
