How to become a Grand Marshall ???

So has anyone here had the chance to become the Grand Marshall of the Magic Kingdom parade?

I want to be it so bad I can taste it!!!!! Are there any tips you could give me? Is there a special person or area of the park to ask about it?

I plan on making matching T-shirts for Jennifer(wife) and I, to help us stand out from the crowd, BUT I'm not one to sit around the Town Square area for hours hoping to get noticed either.

So PLEASE, if anyone has any "pull" with any Cast Members and could help us out, I'd consider that a incredible wedding gift

It would have been a great experience to do right after our wedding at the Grand Floridian last month, but alas, we never were at the park early enough to be noticed :-(

We are going back Feb 7-10th & are hoping so much to be able to do this

here's one way:

be the first guest in the park, and SPRINT to guest relations and beg, since they are usually the ones who make the call as to who is Grand Marshal

I'll have to practice so I can beat Kevin & his bride to the counter...I'll send the kids ahead!! (I'll be there that weekend)

On our last trip, this past October, we went to MK on our last day. We wanted a picture of us in front of the Castle, so we asked a CM standing on Main Street. She took the picture and then we started chatting. We told her this was our last day and she goes, "too bad because I was going to ask if you wanted to do something fun." I knew right away that she wanted us to be Grand Marshalls for the parade. If only our flight was not scheduled for 4:00 pm. Oh well, next time we go to WDW, I am going to try once again.
