How To Be Like Walt

I just finished reading this book and must say it made me sad! Not that it was a bad book it was a great book! I never knew all that Walt Disney really did, he was a kind man with big dreams and goals. He made his dreams come true and died WAY too soon. Reading about his death almost brought me to tears. This book is also a self help book which takes lessons learned from Walt's life and turns them into lessons that everyone can apply to their own lives.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants a good book on Walt Disney's life and/or just wants to 'Be Like Walt'.

It is a great little book - but I found it rather irritating that the author tried to use it as a platform to push his own religious beliefs. Thankfully he did not do that enough to spoil it.

I was thinking of getting the book but I dont want religion forced on me even though I am religous.

I loved the book as well.
Although the author did try and put in his own religious beliefs it was more at the end of the chpaters were he gives his own views on how to be like Walt for that chapter.
I mostly just scimmed over those tidbits.
The rest of the book was amazing.

The belief pushing It's not constant throughout the book, it's only in a few places and does not detract from the rest of it. As soon as you get to those passages just pass on by.

I agree with the general consensus. This is an amazing book that anyone wanting to know about the "real" Walt Disney should pick up. But I agree that I didn't like the author interjecting his own religious beliefs into a book about Walt. Regardless, still one of the best biographies I've read.

For the amount of religion that is presented it's not a reason to pass up reading this book. You won't be sorry you did.
