How Old Is Too Old?

I am a 31 year old male, and I love to meet the characters. To me, it adds to the Disney Magic experience. However, as a 31 year old male, I do not want to take away from the time the character can spend with a 6 year old. I would always be willing to wait in line, juts like everyone else. How werid would it look if a 31 year old male, with no kids, waits on line to pose with a character?

Well, if you're self-conscious, it might be weird to YOU. But there is nothing wrong about it at all! WDW is there for EVERYONE - that's why Walt built it, so that the ENTIRE family could enjoy it at once. You paid $60 to be there, just like everyone else did, so you're entitled to your fair share of time with any character! ENJOY!

I'm almost at the 30 mark and I still love to get my pic taken with all the characters! My wife isn't into it as much as I am, she doesn't see why I have to see Donald every time we're at a park! Sometimes I'll see Donald at MK, then again at MGM, and again at EPCOT! All in a day!

I wait in line like everyone else, so I feel there's nothing wrong with taking a few minutes to see the character that really built the parks! No, I don't hog all their time, but a few minutes for me is well within reason!

I don't care if I'm 50 years old, I want to see the charaters and get my photo with them.

We are in our twenties (no kids) and we too love meeting the characters. We even do character dining. WDW is for kids and kids at heart. That is what makes it so special.

The official cut off age for meeting characters is 1,000,031 years old so enjoy the next 1,000,000 years of pictures with Mickey and friends.

I say screw the kids. They are just little brats anyway. They cry, wet themselves and scream all day. You on the other hand probably dont do all the above but then again maybe you do. But being serious i never felt weird doing it. Everyone waits and enjoys it.

My DH and I waited in lines to see the Characters on our Honeymoon and we didn't care. I mean, we didn't take away from the kids because we were in a line just like they were, but we wanted pictures just as much as they did :D (he was 32 at the time...Just FYI) we now have great memories because of that- the characters "played" around with us more because we were adults (and I was wearing my wedding ears....)

While I do not do characters I say that you are never too old to do character meets. For myself I would rather spend my time on rides. but that is just me!

I think you're too old when you've started to decompose.

Then again, I have seen Joan Rivers posing with Disney characters, so what do I know?

Didn't you pay more for admission than a kid price? In my book, that means you should get first dibs on meeting the characters.

Also, keep in mind the forum where you're posting your question. You're getting positive responses here. I don't know for sure that you'd get the same reaction on some other forums out there.
If you posted on, say, the mercedesshop.com diesel forum, I don't think you'd get the same reaction based on what I think I know about the majority there.

My girlfriend and I are in our 20s and we waited in line to get a picture with Lilo & Stitch. We were the only ones over three feet tall...so funny looking!

I guess the point is this...isn't EVERYONE a kid a WDW???

LOL, too funny.

I never thought twice about it when we would go to WDW before we had kids in our 20's.

I am a mom (34 years old) and I think WDW is for kids, of all ages. From the littlest babies to the senior of the senior citizins. As long as you are still in touch with your inner child, WDW is for you and so are the characters. You are not taking time away from 6 year olds. They can wait also. Infacat I think that is part of the fun for little kids. The things they love the adults do also.

I must admit it does bother me when people do things that shouldn't be around kids at places like WDW (like smoking.) So if you are standing in line for the characters smoking or swearing, I will give you the evil eye and speak in my sternist mommy voice! :lookaroun
