How often do the Poly Bungalows book?

Hey there hi there ho there,

No reason beyond idle curiosity. I was wondering if anyone had any solid information on how frequently the DVC Poly Bungalows actually get reserved, either on points or in cash? I'm not trying to be all class-envious or anything but they're so phenomenally expensive I just honestly can't imagine they get booked all that often amongst DVC owners, that they're more often booked for cash amongst people who can wipe their keisters with Benjamins.

Well, they are booked solid the week of Easter and the week after and the week after that - and those are some of the most expensive weeks of the year. I am checking with the main Disney site.

Well on the DVC site, once you get past Easter week, there are only a handful of nights where there's no availability at all up to including the December holidays. It made me wonder if they're often available...basically I'm wondering if they're overpriced. I mean, yes, they're overpriced, but were they SO overpriced that they'll just hardly ever be "sold out."

For DVC though they are paid for every night as long as a the points for poly are sold out and everyone pays their dues!

You only need one open to show availability.

It has been my understanding that the Bungalos along with Disney's other suites maintain mid 90% occupancy rate.

True, but on the site there's no way to tell if one is available, or 2 or 5 or 18.

That ties into your first sentence, since there are only something like 20 bungalows, right? So if one bungalow is available, that means they're at 95% occupancy.

The math works out right, but it is not related.

The Bungalows are by no means the first ridiculously priced rooms at WDW. Pretty much all of the deluxe resorts have some rather impressive non-DVC suites that go for even more impressive prices. While they always seem to appear in the search when you are looking for last minute availability at one of the All Stars, booking one for a week or even a few days last minute can be difficult.

This is my understanding as well. I know when we were there during our stay it was booked solid and months in advance. It's more likely to be booked during lower months too and during holidays I've noticed

But as you said 1 bungalow and it show's available. Also doesn't mean someone doesn't book it with cash too eventually (same with all DVC rooms).
