We stay for 21 days we share that between disney, universal, discovery cove, seaworld, busch gardens and kennedy centre!

We did a three week trip last time - we had two "park" days followed by a rest day. We had ample time to take in many days at WDW, three days at SeaWorld and two* (yes two) days at Discovery Cove AND returned home feeling like we didn't need another holiday to recover

* Long story :ROFLOL:

We go for 7 days once a year. This year it will be two of us. Everything really worked out great because we got airfare for $169/pp roundtrip with taxes & fees, which is dirt cheap compared to most rates I've seen.

We do just WDW. We will be staying at POFQ without the Dining Plan, and just got the code added on to our reservation...ended up saving $445.00, which really is amazing.

For a whole week it ended up being $783 per person with airfare. Can't beat that!!!

Just curious where some of you people are working that you can take a 21 day vacation...I myself am fortunate to get about six weeks of vacation a year...but I know that's NOT the norm (outside of the teaching profession, of course).

All of Europe, just about, gets a month. On this side of the pond, we are work-obsessed.

It sounds expensive to us North Americans, but if you look at the breakdown, about 4000 pounds of that is airfare, so 2500 pounds ($4700) for a condo off-site for three weeks is just about in the middle of the cost range.

I found packages on Expedia from $9821 (5361 pounds) (Extended Stay Deluxe Orlando - Lake Buena Vista) to $14048 (7669 pounds) (Marriott's Imperial Palms Villas) not including a car. Add only $130 for a car (Wow! For three weeks? Yes!) (70 pounds).

I excluded Suites at Old Town, which was a bit cheaper, but I wouldn't recommend it.

By the way, you could save about 1000 pounds if you could fly out of Gatwick.

We've paid about £4500 for 3 weeks, thats the villa, flights and car etc. (However did book last year....so got it at last years prices!)

We're going for 3 weeks, so that we can take days off to let children chill out. DH gets 27 days leave, so still has reasonable amount of leave left if takes 15 days off, how much leave do you get in the USA?

It depends on the industry, but in non-education jobs, generally an employee with little history in a company gets about 10 days. You work your way ALL THE WAY UP to a total of 20 days after 15-20 years with a company. Generally if you change jobs you have to start all over at 10 days again.

We also have fewer holiday days (that is to say - not vacation like you use the word holiday but like Christmas and Thanksgiving, etc.). Most companies give 10 days total. I know when I worked in France we got about 15.

Regarding your £4500 for 3 weeks: it's quite possible even today flying out of Gatwick, but about £1000 more out of Belfast (five people).
