How much on average can I expect to pay for lunch in the park or resort?

Hello all,
I am just considering if if the DDP is worth it or not for us to add on to our package. I have a good handle on what the table service meals will cost us for the trip, but not sure what to make of the quick serve either at the park or in the resort. What is a good figure to plan on? it will be two adults and one 6yo girl.

Much thanks!
Rick

Well the way I figure it / the way we eat / we will spend $1117.00 total for the week for us. I would need at least 13 TS and 6QS means to cover everything. That means I would have to get DDP+ with 21 QS/TS meals at $1360. We could buy alot of extra food for that $200.00...

What do you think?

What about the regular dining plan and do some ts out of pocket! But only you can do the math. allears.net!

We tallied up the receipts from all meals from the last trip and we really didn't get a deal by getting the QS dining plan. It was within a few bucks of what the QS DP cost and what we would have paid out of pocket. Not to mention I found myself eating meals/desserts when I didn't really want them because I had the food credit and was going to use it. So I ended up spending more on food than I would have if we shared some of the larger QS meals. I would have rather had a good dessert than those chocolate cakes you get with the plan.

So it is more than cost to take into account. It's the cost vs what you would have eaten if you didn't have the DDP.

Pay cash. That way you can eat what you want (without having to stick to dining plan regulations) or less than you'd like (forgoing a dessert or snack) without feeling like "we aren't getting the full value of the dining plan." Littleroo is right, many counter-service meals are shareable.

Yes, that will cost us $1117.00, now the question is does the DDP save us any money...

Turns out no :-( if I use the regular DDP it will cost me $770.00 + $419 in cash = $1189.21

So:
No Dining plan = $1117
DDP = $1189
DDP+ = $1360

Looks like no DDP for us this trip - flying solo ;)
