How much Money??

Based upon my last trips, i budgeted $100 per day. That was for two of us. On some days we spent less and on others we spent more. It balanced out and i usually come home with money. Now, we typically only eat twice a day. We also don't get too carried away with souveniers.

We are taking $200.00 per day for two adults and a 4 year old. This is just for food, drinks and the money I have to spend as I exit the attractions into the gift shops. Dad, Mom can I.... is something we heard a lot last trip. :animwink:

We are hoping we will come back with some but if not that is what we brought to spend and will not be upset over it. I hate using credit cards as you tend to lose track and the bill is bigger than expected. I also hate having the bill a month later it is a much worse feeling that paying as you go and just don't think about it again. I know that is in the head but it is still there so I try to avoid it.

I am also going next year for 6 days and because I was on such a tight budget I went through every last detail to figure out how much I would need and how much I would be able to take so I wouldn't be screwed when I got there and have to starve. I'm only 18 and don't have much money now so I got my parents to book it for me and I'm going to pay them back as I get the money so will barely have enough to pay it off before I go. I know I will have $300 extra though and $50 seemed like enough if I was just going to be in the parks. I am planning to spend no more than $20 a meal at the most since I will just be at the parks so it works out good... I think. (only Lunch and Dinner). I will be in the parks more than 95% of the time.

I am starting to really worry though from what people are saying. Is $50 a day enough for what I am going to be doing? :( I also won't be buying souveneirs until the last hour I am there so I can just use whatever I have left over. Is this reasonable... me really scared now. :(

I just noticed the Motorcoach/Van Shuttle Service, it says it is round trip which sounded kind of weird for Shuttle. How much is it and do you have to "book" it or can you just hop on one at the airport? From the sounds of it it doesn't sound like a normal shuttle.

You can certainly book the Mears shuttle when you get to the airport. The cost for that is $29.00 per adult. This is for a round trip purchase which you pay for up front. They will give you a phone number to call the night before you leave to arrange a pickup time. They will typically pick you up 2 1/2- 3 hours before your flight time. You give them the second part of the ticket when they pick you up and everything is all taken care of!! Belle

Thanks for answering my question. :D

That seems pretty cool. It seems more reliable than waiting for a shuttle to randomly come by to take you to the airport. You don't have to call when you land do you? I assume they will already be there.

--------------

Since I answer so many questions already and I get good answers pretty quick...

I was looking at the Magic Kingdom hours and they seem to hop back and forth. One day it closes 6 pm. then the next day it is 9 pm. then a few days later it is back down to 8 pm. then 10 pm. and 11 pm. a fews days after that.

What is up with that? Is there a certain reason or pattern to why they do this? I don't understand how it can change so many times especially by the day. :veryconfu Is it always like this or if not what is the schedule usually like in late April early May? And what does open seasonally mean when refering to Timekeeper and CoP (never understood that)? Thanks ahead of time to anyone that attempts to answer my plethora of questions. I really appreciate it. :)

OK Shuttle question first, the shuttle company will be there when you get there and they have busses/ vans running fairly regularly, but you may still have to wait for a shuttle to take you to your hotel. You dont have to call before you land in Florida but you do have to call to have them pick you up from your hotel on the way back.
MK hours next, I Am not sure what days you are going, but if you are going in late November/ early December you may be running into the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party on the 6 pm closing nights. the other days are based on historical attendance levels I would imagine. Seasonally is also based on crowd levels. When I was there last Saturday, COP was open but I didnt see Timekeeper open. Belle
