How much money do you spend a day in Disney?

We tend to only feed the kids BF. DH and I aren't morning eaters.

Lunch will be CS. 2 adult plates and either2 kids meals or 1 adult meal they can split.

Snack at a snack stand. Typically popsicles or popcorn

Dinner, usually another CS.

So, on food, we are usually WAY less than $100.

Sometimes, we eat TS at RFC or TREX and that avgs $75.

We are a family of 5. Im a cost cutter, always looking for ways to lower prices. Of my 3 kids, I have a SN child who undereats and a 2yr old that can be picky lol. Also, I pack snacks for them like crackers and whatnot.

When my husband and I go on day trips ( It is always just the two of us ), we take about $200.00. But most of the time we come home with a little more than $100.00 left.

We always get the dining plan so I don't know how to incorporate that.

Before we got the plan, we probably spent around 150$ to 200$ a day. With food included, I'd say 50$ a day :) Oh! This is a for 2 adults.

We usually go all out for food. For a 6 day trip, we probably eat at two TB a day. Something like The Plaza or Sci-Fi for lunch then the Brown Derby or Crystal Palace for dinner. Yeah, food is definitely part of our Disney experience haha

almost all food budget

I've been going solo my past few trips, and almost 100% percent of my spending is on food (with an occasional clothing or home-good 'souvenir' purchase) -

so figure it has been about $10-15 for breakfast, lunch often at a counter service (I estimate an average of about $15) then dinner is almost always at a Signature TS location - and is around $70 - 80 (after the Tables in Wonderland discount).

Bottom line - about $100 - 110 a day, all for food (and wine) for myself :lookaroun

I don't want to think about what I spend during the Food & Wine Festival - most of the good events are at least $135 now, and I go to as many as I can while I'm there - fortunately, I still think they are worth it, and keep going back.

When we go as a family of three we have the dining plan. And utilize it well. We spend about 15 dollars on extras drinks and that is it. I pack our breakfasts to eat in the room and I also bring snacks to last the day. Last time it was rice crispy treats with primary color mickey mouse shaped sprinkles, oatmeal raisin cookies with pastel "hidden mickey" sprinkles included, a snack mix of pretzels, cars graham crackers, mini marshmallows, raisins and peanuts- oh and black, red and white mickey mouse head candy sprinkles! We also brought disney character shaped fruit snacks. We don't buy souveniers while in the parks. Before we go I hit up plenty of places for cheap little disney items. I wrap them up and each morning my son discovers that Mickey came and left him something for the day. He never wants anything in the park as much as those gifts straight from Mickey!

We will be going for a single day in July to redeem our earn a disney day passes. We will be a family of four then. The plan that day is $30 each for lunch and dinner, drinking water with flavor packets throughout the day and eating the snacks I will be bringing again. This time I am planning on using my mickey mouse cookie cutter for my rice crispy treats though! It's gonna be so cute! And I have noticed a few other disney themed snacks in the stores lately so there might be a few differences in the snacks! My kid have been saving their allowances to spend on whatever they want, so I can't comment on the souvenier. Oh- and I plan on two dole whip floats and two mickey ice cream sandwhiches.

In short- with the dining plan $15 a day
without the dining plan between $80 to $100 a day

a lot probably....

We have always been on the DDP so our daily out of pocket was for tips. Then the rest was for souveniers, which I have decided to do the bulk without my DH who hates :)mad:) to shop while he goes golfing. I guess I'm not much help because I don't know what we spend daily. I do know that our tip total was $300 for our last trip because we did the deluxe DDP and we ate at mostly sit-downs.

I'm not sure how much I've spend on the many day trips to the parks, but this next trip will be my first exclusive disney trip and we are bringing $800 dollars for spending cash. We are on the DDP so food is all taken care of, but tips and I'm spoiled so I know I'll probably overspend somewhere. There are 2 of us.

Someone told me it was best to estimate spending $100 per person per day when you go on vacation anywhere.

I have to say that the DDP has totally cut down the amount of $$$ I spend in a day in Disney... Between tips, souvears and other odds and ends I say I spend between $50-$100 a day.

Ok this is just a ballpark figure:

We are a family of six;
Myself
Wife
3 daughters ages 18, 8 and 6
Grandmother

On a typical day in the parks
Light breakfast-$35
One counter service meal-$65
One table service meal-$85
Various snacks/water-$30
Souveniers-$20

Grand Total-$235

I may be low balling a little here. It's been two years since we've been to the parks so my memory is hazy.

Well if you go now during the summer months (seasonal pricing ya know), even if you go for the cheapest breakfast as your table service meal and don't order any extras no way are you getting 6 sit down meals for $85 esp. with the '6 or more automatic 18% tip'.

My girlfriend and I went down to WDW last month for 7 days and we went on a major budget. I love that Disney has an open food policy! We went to Publix and picked up simple snacks and deli meats. We brought a collapsable bag with ice pack. This helped us avoid costly meals! If you don't mind a simple lunch and snack then this is the way to go if you want to avoid spending too much cash. We also carried a sturdy water bottle with us and filled up at any spout we found. Sure, the tap water is almost gross but its better than dropping 3 dollars every time you're thirsty.

I am happy to know about the open food policy. I have a very picky 3 year old and was almost in a panic about what I was going to do if would could not find PB&J and fruit at what ever place the rest of us choose to eat at. Glad to know he will not starve to death.;)

I wish I was as frugal as some of you. I would probably be able to go to WDW more often. I have been 7 times, week long vacations. Me, my wife and two sons usually average around $350.00 a day, maybe a little less depending on the souvenirs we buy.

We (2 adults) usually budget about $150 a day for food (we like TS restaurants).
Souveniers are a different story. Depending on the season, and "disposable income" / sudden necesities/ presents for family, anywhere from $5 - $50 a day.

I went with my wife last year and I was trying to hit EVERY ride so we were running everywhere! That was in October and we spend:

-40 bucks in food a day (minus trips to Planet Hollywood and Rain forest Cafe)

-300 to 500 bucks the first few days of Disney per day (towards the end of the trip around 50-100 bucks a day)
