How much does Disney's music improve your experience?

Absolutely huge difference.
Just the ambient background music playing in a area, in a Pavillion, or even in a restroom makes it a 'experience'.

While several Attractions have famous 'theme songs' associated with them, the acompanying background musical score can also have a tremendous effect on the overall tone and emotional impact.

Would 'The American Adventure' be as powerful a presentation and have as strong a impact without it's marvelous musical score..?
How incredibly different 'Splash Mountain's ascent to the top of the final plunge would be without that 'scary' music playing as the vultures taunt you...?

Music at the Parks is one of the most important storytelling elements.
It creates a instant audio setting or captures the intended mood perfectly.
It's no wonder so much Park music is so memorable, and so enjoyable to listen to long after the visit took place.

We stay at AKL just about every trip now, and the music played in the lobby, and outside by the buses set the mood awesomely. African music very relaxing. Cant imagine that place with no music..

We play a lot if it at home floating in the pool, and it brings me back Every. Single. Time.

Also note how you can walk around World Showcase, and one country's music fades out as the next fades in almost perfectly!

It really makes a HUGE difference!

Last February at both WDW AND Universal, for some odd reason they had the music TURNED DOWN!!!!

It was so noticeable, even my daughter made the comment that it was odd we couldn't hear the background music at all! Every good 'movie' has a great background score....so when you're on an adventure like WDW, you need the background 'score' to support your activities. ;-)

As others have mentioned, I occasionally play the YouTube WDW loops on my computer as background sound while working!

Regards! Michaelson

Get a really late seating for dinner at Epcot and leave from the main entrance...Ive been one of the last guests out at night and the area near the fountain and SE was having some work down on some speakers, so no background music. It is really an eerie and creepy spot to be I when there is almost complete silence. The music changes from being imposing and a bit scary into a place that is inspiring and energetic.

I couldn't imagine walking through the turnstiles towards the tunnels under the train station at MK without hearing that music loop. I like to listen to that loop at home, it always makes me feel better. And the queues wouldn't be the same without music, either-I think my favourite is the queue music on POTC (which also happens to be one of my favourite WDW queues, great atmosphere). And, what would HM be without the music that is so integral to that attraction?

Its a very big part of my trip enjoyment. Its another part of WDW thats present that many guests dont always think of or appreciate because its just there. Walt had an appreciation and love of music, he knew that music sets the mood, enhances the experience, adds to the atmosphere and keeps guests enjoying the experience. Thats why it was important to add it all through the parks. We have background music everywhere in life. You cant go into a store, watch a program or movie without it being present. So wonderful that it plays such a prominent part in the park experience.
