BTW: Happy 1000th:wave:

Thanks for pointing it out, I wouldn't have even noticed. I think my thousandth post is a good summation of all my posts thus far.

Making a joke of internet rumor-mongers and showing a thankfulness for a job that I love.

Keep getting your "inside" info from internet sources, fanboy. I appreciate my job, and the people it took to get me here, that includes Eisner.

There is a huge difference between someone being a pencil pusher and discounting rumors that have no basis in reality.

Thats true except that Enderikari openly admited to me that he would discount rumors that are openly based in fact. For example if you were to ask him last year about the Pirates revamp he would have said it was untrue. So he can't be trusted.

That's like saying that you know what Walt would think about something.:brick:

That sounds to me like that is not an example of being a pencil pusher but rather staying within the terms of his NDA. Not commenting on future projects does not make him a PR firm for Eisner's management. Its called the way the Walt Disney Company has always been run even under Walt. Im not saying everything Enderikari says is accurate all I'm saying is that your comments about him in this thread really make no sense at all.

Further proof you know nothing about me, I am furthest from a pencil pusher you will ever find. But you are right to walk away, since that is all you ever seem to do when backed into a corner, ignore the facts, the truth, and spew more nonsense.

Honestly, it depends on who you talk to. Believe it or not, not every CM you see or talk to in the parks WANTS to know much of anything about Disney They don't like it enough that they have to know where the bathrooms are located in a certain land much less what is going on behind a refurb wall. (Sad I know.) Others however, will go above and beyond to find out. Some people are just new too and are just trying to learn as much as they can but let's face it, there is enough to figure out in one ride much less all of WDW or even the company. So yeah, no every CM knows everything, the trick is, finding the ones who do.

I agree with this. The majority of CMs don't care what Disney is up to; some just wait to be surprised, and others just collect a paycheck. I'd guess that about 90% of CMs don't know what's going on, anyway. Disney keeps it like that on purpose.

Those of us CMs who do know what's going on are usually familiar only with a certain area. Disney rarely (read: never) lets anyone but high leadership know what the big picture is. The big guys who know about everything don't post online, period; and CMs that do know stuff usually have to keep their mouths shut because it's confidential information.

Another thing: if a CM says something is true yet it doesn't happen, that doesn't necessarily mean he's lying. Sure, some CMs like to spread rumors for the fun of it; but many projects are announced and dropped, such as the Switzerland and Israel pavilions at Epcot. I myself have been told about projects that were definitely happening, only to see them get shut down within the same month. (An example is the Center Street refurb on Main Street, which will eventually happen but keeps getting pushed back. I was at the MK the day the buildings were rewired and the registers were reconnected to the POS system...and then nothing happened.:D )

To put it in a nutshell, the majority of CMs don't really know what's happening and are kept in the dark on purpose. Those that do know what's going on can't elaborate on upcoming plans but often heavily hint at them; and the ones that post online probably aren't saying all they know.

Center Street refurb? Do tell.

And does anyone know if there ever been any serious discussion about extending MS to one side? Or adding an attraction other than VMK Central or another transportation ride? Please direct me to the appropriate thread. :)

i trust only counter service table cleaners. it's part of the executive punishment program if they are caught playing on the internet... 4 hour shift wiping tables... and they are VERY bitter, so they are VERY easy to crack!

CS has been reconnected to the rest of the MK. The old toy store will be either a new store or additional seating. This was supposed to have happened by the end of last year, but offices that are currently in the old toy store couldn't be relocated in time. No, the street will not be reconnected across Main Street. I miss the old configuration as much as you do; but with the millions of Guests we get here, Disney really did need the extra space for the Emporium.
