I thought of this hypothetical question when I went to EpCot last July, and I've gotten different responses from everyone.

Let's say that a person gets to EpCot at 9:00 in the morning, right when the park opens, and let's assume that Future World closes at 9:00. The only thing that this person does all day is ride Soarin', and this person cannot get a FastPass for the ride, and does not go in any single rider line (so this person can only ride in the regular standby line). Knowing how long the queue line is for Soarin', how many times could this person ride the ride in 12 hours, assuming that this person does nothing else in EpCot or in any other park during the day? A CM who overheard this discussion said 5 times, and I've gotten anywhere from 3-8 as the magic number.

So, with that being said: If a person stayed at Future World for its entire time of operation, and rode Soarin' for all 12 hours (without getting a FastPass or being in the single rider line). How many times could one possibly ride Soarin' in one day before the park closes?

8 rides would be back-to-back 90-min cycles. The first and last will be under that, but on any day other than the least busy day of the year, a complete cycle (getting in line, waiting in queue, waiting in pre-load hallway, waiting in safety spiel pre-load, loading, ride, unloading, walking back to entrance, getting in line again) will average more than 90 minutes pretty much the rest of the day.

On a busy day, 5 would be a high number. The rest of the year, 5-7 is probably realistic.

0 times if there is any wait at all.
1 time if it was a walk-on with 0 minutes wait.
After that, boredom would set in and they would find something else to do.

I would say your a little low. if you just plugged the 90 into 12 hours you get your 8 rides... but by going there at gates open you should get in at least 2 rides in the first 90 minutes which puts you at 9 for the day.. but they also tend to have a few drops during the day when the mass of people seem to move for a show or who knows what, so that might give you and additional ride through the day and bring you to 10... but you also forgot that if you are in the last group to ride it they will often let you stay for another ride or 2 extra when some of the CM's will run it for themselves - that last part isn't guaranteed but in one such instance we rode it 3 times in a row before getting bored and leaving... I always wondered how many more times the CMs road it.

While I certainly enjoy Soar'n, I think I would limit myself to two. It is spectacular IMO, but as a repeating rider, I limit myself (as I believe, in this case, that absence does make the heart grow fonder). And this statement also applies to many other rides I have frequented multiple times/multiple visits.

I say more than five, we have found that in the first hour of park opening Soarin is a constant 20 minutes then move on to 30 - 50 each hour after. I could have probably rode Soarin 3 times in the first hour & a half alone when we were there in May.

My brother only went on it once, he preferred the "interactive" displays in the queue. He thought the ride itself was rubbish. He then proceeded to go on LWTL 3 times in a row while we had an amazing lunch at Sunshine Seasons.

We rode it once, and that was enough for one trip. I enjoyed it and all, but it wouldn't be worth standing in line over and over again to ride it and nothing else all day. I think it would be less impressive if I rode it over and over... wouldn't have quite the same effect.

So, for me, no matter how many times it's physically possible, my answer would be once ;)

In July, I'd say 5 or less. We have been in September, though, when there was no need for FP because there just wasn't any line. So, if it were late-January or late-September, I'd say there are days where they could possibly ride ~24 times. (5 min wait to get to boarding area, 10 minute wait in boarding area, 10 minute ride, 5 minutes to exit and get back in line = 30 min)(12 hours / .5 hours/ride = 24 rides)

During some of the slow times, you could hypothetically ride it a goodly number of times. Why you would want to is beyond me. Like so many others, this is a 1 and done for me. I'm too busy waiting to get back to Sum of All Thrills!

Morning EMHs: I can do Soarin once (sometimes twice) then would get a FP for later in the day. 3 is my max with twice being about most. I enjoy the ride for it is - but its nothing spectacular. I do not understand the love of flying over California and smelling oranges. I guess because I have been to CA so many times - there is no excitement in that. I see amazing views on a clear day from Chicago to LA.
