Long veteran of WDW...25 years now...kids practically grew up there....enough video to last forever. How many of my fellow Disney veterans remember:

1) Those old metal noisey strollers...I dont know how are kids survided those things!
2) When they actually had shows at spot near cop and Bud
3) The real cute Melvin the Moose breakfast in Pioneer Hall..I actually had my first intro to Chocolate Chip Muffins there

Any more???

Ah yes. I remember those strollers well. My kids, 3 years apart would sit one in the front facing forward and the other in the back facing backwards. Never needed to rent two of them. The awning was great for holding stuff too. We too are oldies to the parks, having been going since 1984 and nearly every year since and sometimes twice a year.

i'm glad i'm not the only one on these boards whose been going forever. our first trip was in oct 1972 when i was 5 and my kids have since grown up going as well. i'm now ending my reign of having to push the beige plastic strollers they have now with my 6 year old finally getting old enough to walk the park granddaughter.

I love hearing from all you guys out there that have been going to Disney for as long as we have (1985)..those days were so much fun, especially when ouir kids were small. Even thouigh we still go every year (all my kids in college and couple of them go on their own trips now with friends) I still plan my whole year around going back.

Oh ya!! I remember those blue metal strollers. We rented them I think once or twice until we got smart enough to bring our own haha!! Yep, was a little baby then. It seems as those would be a little less hectic for the pusher and the fellow guests legs than the ones they have now, but I don't know. But yep, def remember those. And I also remember the galaxy theater. It hosted a very cheesy 90s with hints of the 80s show with Mickey and the gang and some dude dressed in some save by the bell looking junk. I think it was called the rap and roll or something. Ahhh, the memories.

A few pics of the little blue stroller that now belongs to the ages.

1985- Sleeps one, nicely:

1986- Provides good access at the drive up water fountain:

1986- Fully Loaded. Note the items that date this: Obviously the WDW 1986 shirt, the pipe in hand(no smoking areas back then), EleRoo the Wuzzle plush and the hat from Tropic Toppers in Adventureland. Going for the grungy tourist look that day, I think I made it.

I remember the metal strollers. I'd soooo love to know who made them. Better yet, I'd love to have one! Here's a pic of me in one circa 1976:

I totally remember the Galaxy Theater shows. In fact, seems like it was in the fall somewhere back in the 80s..probably 1984-5-ish, I watched Louise Mandrell perform in the old Galaxy Theater during a hard-ticket event at the MK called "Country Music Jamboree".

Didn't see the moose show at Pioneer Hall.

I really miss riding the double-decker buses around World Showcase. Now THAT was a nice way to rest your weary legs & enjoy some scenery....

We took our 1st child in 1977. Those strollers were great. There was no room in the trunk of the car for the metal strollers we had to pack then. The rental may have been a dollar. Nobody brought their own strollers. So no one was carrying them on the monorails or trams. Of course back then there was only one park so you didn't park hop.

I think it was TheMom that reminded me sometime back that you had to drape a beach towel or blanket or something over the stroller when not in use because those metal pieces could get scorching hot in the sun. Still, I'd love to get one to display some of my dolls in.
