200. We haven't owned long enough for me to say definitively that it's a good number for us, but based on our usage so far and planned trips for the next 2-3 years, I think it'll be just about right, especially factoring in the ability to bank and borrow.

250 at AKV bought resale in 2012 - one transaction, but it was one 200 point contract and one 50 point contract.

So far it has worked out well for us. We typically go yearly and stay in one bedrooms (2 adults and 3 children).

Started with 85 Poly points and had been great for studio stays. We stayed at BRV back in September and fell in love with the WL so we added on 125 CCV points since we would likely stay in bigger accommodations there.

My wife had 160 at SSR before we got married.. since I can't get added (the more that they change the benefits for aftermarket sales, the more this bugs me.. but there is nothing I can do about it.. and I digress.. ). I want to get another 100 or 150 in both our names so we have 250 or 300 or so..

We just added my now 18 year old son to our contract.
DVC referred us to First American Title Ins Company, and they did a great job with adding my son to our contract. I don't remember the exact cost, maybe $400ish. (But when you think of the cost of purchasing not that significant to be a full fledged owner). No lawyers were needed, and they told us step by step how to proceed. I worked with this amazing woman named Regina who was very well versed in the process, very kind and very responsive to my many questions.
