Was watching old video ( vhs),,and it was a show at the old "Odysee" restraunt. We used to call it the " Clap your hands " show. Not sure if this was the name but that was the song. " Clap your hands..clap clap clap....theres a party going on...clap your hands " ets. Mickey and friends would come out in the space suits and entertain as you ate your mid afternoon snacks. I remember they had an awsum fixin bar. Ohhhhhh the memories!

Was this the place between what is now Test Track and Mexico? It was open on my first trip to EPCOT. I think now its just used for special events or corporate meetings. The best kept "secret" restrooms in any park. Low traffic flow keeps em clean and empty.

Why did they ever get rid of it completely? Something should have replaced it at least!:(
You can still eat there if you rent the place out;). My guess is it probably makes more money catering special events and hosting F&W events.
Man- how the times have changed. Look how empty the restaurant is, and it was basically a character meal w/ a "performance".:(
And a counter service with characters too. Never happens today. Chef Mickeys is $45 a head for characters with dinner and you have to book it 180 in advance to get in.

One Little Spark...
I remember the Odyssey, and it was one of my favorite places to eat as a kid at EPCOT, as it was halfway between the "boring" World Showcase, and the "amazing" Futureworld.

It was also one of the first character meals, as I recall...and they did a little stage show which was amusing. Of course, back then, the characters were still in EPCOT costumes, not just run of the mill...

That video is too 90s, I remember the shows being less...er...Richard Simmons.

All that's changed up now. But, it is a great place to hide from the rain!

And now I must post this...
