Today at some of the Theaters in the United States the Wizard of Oz shall be playing in High Definition for the first time ever at Theaters. There will be an introduction by Robert Osborne. There will also be a look into how L. Frank Baum’s classic novel was transformed into one of the most beloved films of all time including archival interviews. There will also be behind-the-scenes footage and rare musical outtakes. There will also be an exclusive clip of the Scarecrow, Ray Bolger, dancing in High-definition for the very first time.

The Wizard of Oz will be coming out on a new Dvd edition on September 29th. Also for the first time ever the Wizard of Oz will be coming out on Blu-ray on September 29th.

Wow, that is so cool! I wish I would have known about it sooner! I'd love to go, but I don't think there is anyway I could get away tonight. Too bad they are only doing if one night.
