How many GBs iPad Air?

Just curious how one knows what is an acceptable "size" when buying an iPad Air. I'm clueless. Thinking like a girl, it would seem just shelling out $300 more for 8x's the GBs so you're sure to never fall short would be the thing to do. But then, again thinking like a girl, what kinda fun accessories could be purchased with $100, $200, or $300 if one purchases less GBs. I just don't know. This is the primary reason I've fought my husband for the last month over buying one at all. I don't know what to buy so it's like, "Screw it". But I do want one and the old man is none-too-thrilled that I can't think of anything else for him to get me for Christmas.

So you tech-gurus out there, tell me how you would approach this.

When my mom bought her iPad about 1 1/2 years ago, I advised her to get the 32 GB. I'm glad I did. You would be surprised how quickly you can go through the memory. The apps on the iPad take up a lot of room. When I got my Windows, I went with the 64 GB (it was a bit cheaper than iPad). I like putting movies, music, and pictures on my devices, so I need all of that memory.

I would not get less than 32 GB.

It all depends on what you are going to do with it. General rule is you can never have too much storage and considering that the memory in the ipad Air can not be expanded, I would go for as much as you can swing.

That being said, if you don't plan on keeping more than your average music library on it and a few movies you could get away with a 32 GB version especially if those movies are not in HD.

If you have a lot of music and/or want to store a dozen or so HD movies you will want to get the 64 GB or 128 GB model.

This link will give you some more info on the subject. http://www.imore.com/16gb-vs-32gb-v...ina-ipad-mini-storage-capacity-should-you-get

That's what I was going to say. We have a 16GB iPad 2 and don't have a ton stored on it...we don't store music on it at all and we may have 1 or 2 movies along with whatever apps, so 16GB has been fine for us.

However, we both have 16GB iPhones are we're pretty sure whenever upgrade time comes we're changing to 32GB. Just the music alone takes up tons of space...I have lots of pictures on mine but not a lot of apps, husband has a lot of apps but less pictures. It just depends on what you think you'll use it for.

Also keep in mind that the iPad air, unlike the 2 but like the 3 or 4, has the Retina display, so by nature, everything takes up more room (but it looks great!)

Oh yeah, good point! :) Yeah I may not be in the greatest position to give advice on this since my iPad is pretty old at this point!

Quite true. It is not hard to amass a music collection that will exceed 20 GB even in a compressed format like AAC or WMA. If you go lossless it can get really insane.

Yeah, it was a giant pain to try to make room on the phone when I wanted to update to iOS 7. 7 GB of music and that's after I cut it way down!

I do not know what the GBs are. I have 32. I've never had a problem that had the Apple Store people saying, "You need more of the GBs."
