I thought the Part 11 (posted in 2014) needed an update 141 days for us!! (Yep, I'm Poly bound)
Just before our last trip one of our old dogs ( also 14) started having kidney failure and we got more and more concerned as the trip date came nearer. Several days before we were to leave it got to the point where we knew it was time. So I know exactly what you are feeling. Its never an easy decision to make but it was better that it happened when it did so you could say your goodbyes and be with your companion when it came. Would have been worse if someone else had to do it while you were gone. Hold onto those wonderful memories you have of her and all the joy she gave you for so long. My prayers are with you. I truly believe our loving pets are waiting for us and we will be reunited one day.42 more days until our trip/delayed honeymoon and boy do we need it. We just put our oldest dog down last night (14 years) and its a heart tugger. We are at peace knowing she is no longer suffering and we praise God for the blessing she was for us.
We look forward to WDW bringing us so much needed joy
