how many CP classes?

tomorrow i'm presenting the syllabuses for the CP to my advisor and am going to talk to him about my options for the coming years. i'm determined to do the CP, but i really need a couple questions answered. to those of you who have done the CP, how many classes did u take and how much credit did you get? how many classes could you recommend? i know that many people choose not to take classes, but i really want to come back to school with some more hours. thanks so much for helping me out guys! i really appreciate it!

I took two classes and returned with 6 hours credit. I got them from two different departments by taking independent studies. I met with a professor in the Business deparment and gave him the sylibi for the business classes and he said that i could get credit for one of them. So I took it. I ended up having to turn in the homework to him as well as my teacher in FL and had to write an aditional paper for him.

Is the syllabus available online or was it sent to you? My little dilema at the moment is to find out whether my school will accept the CP as something that applies to my field, engineering, so that i could be excused for a semester and keep full time student status. I may end up not being able to do the CP and only a PI

My first CP I took one class (Hospitality Management) and got 11 credits. My second CP I didn't take any classes and got 8 credits. And I didn't get any credits for my 3rd/4th CP (because they were summer CPs).

woah woah woah! how did you get 8 credits without taking any classes?!?! how does that work? oh, and you can find each syllabus online with guidelines for credit hours that you can use to show your school! just go to the CP website and you'll find em!

At my school, I got the credit for doing the internship (when I got 11 credits the first time, the extra 3 was for the class).

thanks, joanna! i actually just had a meeting today about doing the internship. Now i have to have individual meetings with the dean of each program for each class that i'm looking into. Do most ppl just take on class during the CP?

Everyone that I knew who took a class, they only took one or two (at the most). I'm sure there are people who take more, but those that I knew didn't.

I walked away with 6 credits for the class I took.

But I had a friend who was from another school. because of his major and the 2 classes he took he was able to walk away with 15 credits, or something crazy like that. He ways also the only person from his school to get aht much.

i had planned on taking 2 classes while i was down there which would have given me 6 credits but i dropped them so i could take a break from school and refocus...but my college (Purdue)... gives you credit for just being part of the program and finishing it..so i still walked away with 6 credits and a 4.0 lol
