How many adult couples here have shared a room with another couple?

Just curious how many of us who are couples have shared a room with another couple, and if so, for how long. For me I have to admit I don't think I could do it for more than one or two nights, as I value my privacy and alone time with my wife too much. Are there any of us out there who actually enjoy this (and aren't swingers:lol:)?

Sad to say that I have not only shared a room with another couple, but that couple was my Inlaws.... They invited us to come up one weekend and they would pay.. they failed to tell us we would ALL split one room...

So, I was kept up all night by my Farting Father in law and my Snooring Mother in law... I was super close to sleeping in my car or the lobby..

Did this for 2 nights.....

Heading for the great escape.
Family as in wife and kids or family as in adult brothers and sisters? Because I've shared many trips and rooms with my family, but that's just my wife and two young children.

Family as in eldest, youngest and soon to be son in law (who lived with us here anyway).

Was a bit of a squeeze at the Poly but more than fine in a 2 bed at Kidanni.

Yeah..but free trip ???

I shared with partner, daughter 3, and 2 nephews, 12 and 14. At least we could tell them to clean up. I can't imagine tidy people sharing with messy people... carnage.

Sorry that won't happen. The wife and I would not share or consider sharing a room with another couple at all. Now when the kids were younger that was a non issue and had a lot of good close family laugh's and a lot of fun and games were had.

I agree about the kids. We cherish the time we have together because one day we know we won't get to do it, but as for adult couples who aren't your childre, NO WAY!

DH and I have shared a room or two with a few couples. We've shared a room with DH's parents and with my parents. It can be a bit frustrating when it comes to sharing the bathroom (getting ready). We've also shared a room with a friends of mine (and their partners). IMHO, I prefer having our own room, so I don't have to get up earlier then I need to just to get ready. Plus, my family keeps us up at night with their constant snoring. It got so bad, that DH actually slept in his trunk for a portion of a night.

Not another couple, but my boyfriend and I have shared a room with our best friend on various vacations. We've never had a problem. But if he had brought a girlfriend along, I'm sure we would have... the single bathroom alone would have done us in!

I've shared rooms with my fellow co-workers before (on the job, non-couple of course); it was around four to a room I believe. Of course we room together quite often when we aren't on the plane or bus so it's just kinda normal.

As for couples. Yeah, I've done that too. Gosh, when that other couple (which we've known for a long time) was together you couldn't speak to any one of them cause they were all over each other. At least if you are in a room full of muscular guys you really don't have to worry about that. :lookaroun

That would drive me crazy. I'd do alot of things to save money, but sharing a room with another couple is very low on my list! I almost had to do this in Vegas once, but we ended up getting a suite with a separating door and that was ok.

Have shared a room with both my parents and my husband's parents. Both a mistake for different reasons. My parents watch television until 2 in the morning and then snore like freight trains. Husband's parents like the room at a temperature akin to a meat locker and get up before dawn to crinkle plastic bags to hold their wet bathing suits for their pre-dawn swim. Still amazed they could make so much noise over and above the whirring of the ceiling fan on full-tilt. :dazzle: Hoping for better luck with my 12 year old niece this September! My parents will be in their OWN room. :)

It's great (in theory) to save money by sharing a room but having to put up with other people's craziness (and them having to put up with mine :ROFLOL:)in tight quarters is enough for me to say no thanks. Now we have kids so no one wants to share with us !

My GF and I shared a room with StageFrenzy and his fiance last Feb at the Contemporary. It was the only way any of us were willing to splurge for a MK view tower room...even with our AP discounts. It was only for 2 nights. We all got along fine no issues with cramped quarters, getting ready in the morning, etc, but apparently I keep the A/C in the room WAY too cold in the evenings.

Free trip or not, I would never stay in the same room with another couple. The idea of going to WDW is to enjoy yourself, and I don't think I could do that when having to share a room with adults that each have their own idiosyncrasies.
