How many $100 meals do you have per week at disney?

I'm looking over all my ADRs for our upcoming 7 night stay and noticing that we have at least 5 if not more meals that will cost $100 or more for the two of us... and we always drink water, share one app and/or one dessert. We don't drink alcohol.

I'm trying to decide if we really should go all out with an expensive meal each night, or just do one or two really nice meals and try to cut back in other places. When I read these boards I think sometimes I get caught up in all the excitement of the different restaurants and go overboard!

Our family seems similar to you two. I feel like you should splurge when your at Disney so you should treat yourself to nicer restaurants than you would eat normally at home. We usually do one really nice meal a night, and then maybe a cheaper sit-down meal or a quick service for lunch and breakfast. There are just so many good places to eat!

Thanks! I think we will splurge =). We have a reservation which you cannot get the dining plan with- otherwise this is the kind of trip I could honestly say the deluxe dining plan would be worth while. Not because it's a good value, but because I hate when I'm on vacation trying to talk myself out of steak because the chicken is cheaper!

Off topic but- I notice you've been to the grand floridian and the boardwalk. Which one do you prefer?

I feel your pain, we do just about every night we go, and we usually have a lunch or breakfast in there as well, this past trip we spent $100 on every dinner, but it was so worth it, i just hate the quick serve, and we had ADR's for everywhere except for one night, and then we were able to get in to Via Napoli are totally in love with it now.

None. We never get the expensive dishes (well, sometimes we do). They just aren't our tastes typically. And we don't eat at expensive restaurants (we only do 2 or 3 ADRs for a week). For three of us we usually get a drink other than water, an appetizer to share, and a meal for each of us. We typically don't get dessert, but we are gonna have to when we do Beaches and Cream this June!

I would say on a typical 8-night trip, we usually have about 6 meals that will run us over $100 (last trip we had 2 meals that ran us over $300, but we were celebrating our engagement). It is just my fiancee and I. After spending a long day in the parks, we really love to head back to the room, shower, put something nice on and head out for a nice meal.

We usually do a couple expensive signature places (Cali Grill, Le Cellier, etc..) per trip. There are 3 of us traveling and we use our TIW card. This coming trip we are doing Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast and that's the only expensive place we have. We are also doing Ohana, which some might consider expensive, but I don't since it's all included (drink, meal, dessert) for one price. All the other meals we have planned (Liberty Tree Tavern, Sci Fi, The Plaza, Via Napoli..) are not expensive. We cut back this trip due to going with my aunt and her two kids,

We have four planned for our trip and to make it sting less we have been buying Disney gift cards to use towards the meals. This way the meals are already paid for and I can order what I want without worrying. We budgeted $100 for each meal, but have gift cards for $500 just in case. Any money left over we will just use on QS and snacks. It's kind of like our own dining plan :)
