How Long Will RotR be "Best Ride in the World"?

Disney has rightfully earned praise the last two days for building an excellent attraction (in the USA too!) that many are already calling the best ride in the world.

But how long will it hold that title? Off the top of my head, here are the major contenders opening in the next few years:

Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast (April 15, 2020): The most obvious comparison based on scale, ride type etc.

Mario Kart (Spring 2020 at Universal Japan, 2021 for Hollywood, 2023 for Orlando): Universal's big follow up to Harry Potter. Can it deliver?

Frozen (2022/2023 Tokyo DisneySea): A bigger, better ride than what was done for Epcot, Hong Kong or Disney Studios Paris.

Avengers E-Ticket (2023 Hong Kong Disneyland / Disney California Adventure): Will both parks get the same ride? Will the highest grossing movie ever get a ride that lives up to the hype of Endgame?

Universal's Epic Universe (2023): Besides Mario Kart, a few other rides at opening could set a new standard or improve on what Universal has done before. The Fantastic Beasts ride (the next big Potter thing) and Universal Monsters (similar to Forbidden Journey, maybe?) are two examples.

Without seeing those youve isted yet... Theres always going to be someone that comes up with a spectacular, technologically advanced, groundbreaking, new and improved attraction / ride system that makes the last great thing look obsolete in comparison. Its anyones guess whats sitting on a drawing board being worked on right now that will break out. Its coming... but will be even more expensive and need more property to set up. So the question is... will it be Disneys or Unis, or someone elses

Mario Kart's scale/tech/immersion will likely be in the same league as RotR. Whether or not it's "better" - that will be subjective.
wow i must have envisioned this ride wrong then (and prob need to keep up on the concept art), i assumed it would be a better ride system than radiator springs with mario scenes maybe some things to shoot at and outdoors.

I think no matter what, a ride will always come along and do something groundbreaking and take the title back and forth. The question like this thread asks is of course, when. That I'm not sure.

I don’t think greater tech necessarily makes for a better ride. While I’m sure these rides will all be great in their own right, I still think the two best rides in the world were built in the 1960s: Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. There’s way more to immersion than tech.

until universal buys out and shuts down wdw

I can't wait to hear the main theme from Star Wars actually played in SWL. All the time. Loudly. To the point of hurting one's ears. And just the theme. On a loop.

That would be amazing!

I'm just kidding. The music in the Cantina would be different. It'd be a three chord lick on an electric guitar so loud you can't talk to anyone in there.

Cool cool cool.

I have a really great feeling about Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. Admittedly I love Epcot and thrills so it fits the bill, but it seems so innovative and interactive that I think it could challenge RotR for top E Ticket

The Beauty and the Beast ride looks incredible. I could see it being better than Rise, but impossible to say until it's actually open and we can get a look at it.

I believe it will rank top until the MK updates the wonderful Mad Tea Party, you know, add a more vibrant music track or add more LED lights. Yes, than could be a contender. No, not buying it, how about VR glasses that will feel like you are on RoR with a spinning feel to it. Ha, what do you think? Discuss amongst yourselves. Your welcome.

I was surprised that Cosmic Rewind wasn’t on their list. it seems to me to be a more physically thrilling counterpart to ROTR, with both of them being technologically innovative and based on successful properties.
