How long will Fantasy Springs stay on a reservation system?

Anybody have any idea when the general public without a Vacation Package or FS Hotel Reservation can visit?

The general public can visit now. You just need to get there early enough to reserve standby pass and/or Premier Access.

No one knows how long the system will last. Could be years. For comparison, I believe Super Nintendo World at USJ is still doing a standby pass system over 3 years since opening.

I hear it's almost impossible to snag a standby pass for this and DPA is full for all attractions within the first hour of opening. I also hear so you can only realistically ride only one ride unless you have the vacation package. Is this true?

That is true. The only impossible-to-snag ride would be the Frozen ride, which is quickly taken by hotel guests with early entry and people who arrive at 6:45 am. Tangled and Peter Pan are both high-capacity and relatively easy to get if you arrive at least one hour after the posted opening (9:00). The park opens much earlier than that. If the day you visit is relatively busy, I would recommend a DPA for Pan and standby for Tangled. If you finish booking, I would recommend getting a Priority Pass for Indiana Jones (it's free Fastpass).

I don't think it's quite as bad as you're hearing, as long as you get there early. I went a few weeks ago and was able to ride all three attractions pretty easily with just a normal 1-day ticket.

Got there two hours before park opening (the park always opens earlier than posted open)

Check this Twitter account, they post updates near daily showing what times the passes are running out for each attraction. For reference, below is their latest update showing the past week. Left is standby pass, right is Premier Access. https://x.com/DisneyColorsJp

Wow. I went to TDS not once but twice and wasn’t able to snag Frozen. Still dejected about missing that but at the same time we did arrive at about 7:45 - my family didn’t have the energy for an entire period of waiting.

I went today - Arrived at 6:45 and even when I got in at 8:18 the DPA for Frozen was gone. I got standby and only waited 20 minutes at 10:25. I also booked Pan on DPA for 1pm, and Tangled at 4:30pm when I could an hour later. Also got a standby for Tinkerbell and then miraculously later in the day whilst refreshing (around 12:20) I picked up another standby pass for Frozen (waited 50 mins)! Very do-able, I wasn't glued to my phone, and DPA for Pan was available well into the afternoon.

Only waited 20 mins for Toy Story right at park open. Did Singles for Indy/Raging Spirits, 40th pass for 20k Leagues, Aquatopia and Nemo. Other longest queues were Soarin (65), Journey (40) and Tower (40). Everything else 20 or less.

That sounds like a pretty good day, my man.
