Working on strategery for a September trip. The Star Wars / Galaxy's Edge / Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run announcement has changed my plans and very soon to be 180 Days Dinner Reservations.

It's kind of aggravating.

I can walk it in about 15-20 minutes reliably, faster if needed. I think it’s about 1.5 miles. Gondolas should be running by then also though, which should be 10-15 minutes. Boats take about 25-30 minutes.

It's a looooooong walk. Or at least it felt that way to me when I've walked it before [probably had much to do with my very tired feet protesting more walking]. I would agree with the posters that it's more a 25-30 minute walk for the average casual bear 🐻. If you're walking with purpose, 20ish. The part of the walk from DHS until you reach the Boardwalk is also pretty boring but you do have the ability to stop for ice cream once you reach that area. :) We generally use the ferry but that's also a 30 minutes journey accounting the various stopping points.

It's a faster walk for me than a boat ride or bus. Others in my party might not agree (and usually don't). It also depends on how hot it is and how much consumption of alcohol there was prior.

About 25 minutes is right, and one of the nice things is that there's usually not a ton of people walking it so it can be a bit of a reprieve from the craziness you will encounter using other forms of transit.

This is a common refrain but in over a dozen trips and three years as a local, I've never seen the dystopian hellscape that people describe when they talk about Disney transportation. The only time it's bad is immediately after park closing but other than that I can't think of a time when I've ever even had to stand on a bus.

I think it varies. When we stayed at Port Orleans, it wasn't bad at all with the exception, as you mentioned, of right at closing. However, we stayed at Beach Club a few times, and that was a nightmare, especially trying to go to Disney Springs. Craziness was a bit of an overstatement, but I'll always take a walk of 25 minutes over a public transit ride of 10, so it's really just personal preference.

It really depends where you are at the time. If you're in Future World, it makes no sense. If you're on the right side of world showcase, it can be a lifesaver. Especially if they are holding back the boats because someone heard thunder.

A good 15-20 minutes. Just know it gets crowded under the bridge. And the Boardwalk is very slippery when wet, so be careful first thing in the morning and during/right after rain. Not sure how the Skyliner station at International Gateway will affect that entry into WS. Ran that portion (Gateway to Boardwalk & back) during Princess 10K...everything was still behind screens.
