How long is the wait when you have an ADR

I am curious, since most restaurants are booked solid because of the free dining, how long people are waiting for a table when they have an ADR. I have a two year old who is fairly patient but I don't think she will handle waiting 30 or 40 minutes for a table then waiting for the food after that. We have booked mostly buffets so there is no waiting for your food to come to you but we do have a couple of ADR's where we will have to order our food and wait for it to come to us.

I have never waited more than 10-15 minutes. I usually arrive about 5 minutes before by ressie to check in ~ on a couple of occassions I was able to be seated right away.

I would agree that the longest we usually ever wait with a reservation is about 5-10 minutes. The only exception has consistently been Jiko, where waiting 30 minutes or more has been the norm on our last three visits. California Grill used to be the same story until they started the downstairs check-in point - now it is a breeze. We always arrive 10-15 minutes before our scheduled reservation regardless of the restaurant.

I have always been told that your party size can really effect how long your wait is. The majority of tables are set up for parties of 4 followed by 2 and lastly 5 or more. in many cases tables of 4 are put together for larger parties. So if your party size is 4 or less you wait will be minimal. If you have a party size of 5-8 it will take a little longer, a party of 9 or more can have a pretty substantial wait during peak times.

If you have a really large party be flexible and split up if possible to minimize your wait. Checking in a few minutes early and being really nice never hurts either.

We only had to wait 5-10 min at most for all of ours, except at Sci-Fi Drive in where we waited 45 min past our time. I'll never eat there again. The kids loved it though. Just make sure to call and verify your times before you go. A couple of timed they gave us the wrong times and we would've been late.

We had free dining from Aug 17-25, and the average wait was about 5 minutes. Twice we were seated immediately.

It's possible having more people on the dining plan right now will slow down buffets less than other restaurants. At buffets, people have been getting appetizers and desserts all along. The dining plan doesn't change anything. At other places, many people who might normally order a single course now get three courses.

All depends on when you visit The World. We just got back (August 1 - 22) and had one wait of 30mins (seated 25 mins after ADR time) and another wait of 5 mins (seated 15 mins BEFORE ADR time)

professional opinion: the wait time is going to depend on a few things..,
the size of your restaurant
the number in your party
how early/late you arive for your ADR

what it is important to remember is that the POLICY didnt change. just the NAME. It is still a Priority Seating, not an Apointment for dinner time.

when you make an ADR for 5:00, and you check in at 5:00 you are NEXT IN LINE for a table. depending on how many parties have checked in before your really determines your waiting time.
