How long is a safe time to estimate spending at a TS meal?

I've actually never had a TS meal at WDW...believe it or not. My family growing up has always been the "lets share a hamburger type".

However, since I am not this way, I have booked a few TS meals for my first trip with my DGF. I was wondering how long these typically take assuming no problems with service.

If it varies greatly per location can you give your experience at a few establishments?

A safe estimate would be an hour to an hour and a half at most. Some restaurants such as WCC seem to favor the longer end of that time frame where as buffets tend to take less time.

I'd say an hour is a good estimation for each TS location, though it really depends on your eating style. I tend to 'inhale' my food, but others I dine with like to take their time and savor their food. If you're a slower eater or like to indulge in sparkling conversation during meals, then give yourself that extra half hour or so.

Have a wonderful trip!

Lunch is shorter than dinner. Theme park eateries are shorter than hotel restaurants. In most EPCOT places it's about an hour, a bit longer I find in France. But hotels can take 2 to 2 1/2 hours depending on factors. If it's a group of adults and you tend to be engaged in conversation, I find the service slower (in a good way) to allow for this. If you have kids it tends to be faster. Good servers I think will be aware of this and get a sense of how fast you want to be served. And of course if you get appetizers, dessert and coffee it will take longer. But if you have set plans after a TS meal, try to assume the longest time so as not to be rushed.

We were in both Tutto Italia and Teppan Edo for an hour and a half last week. We had no appetizers, but did have dessert. Teppan Edo especially seems to take quite awhile. It's more than worth the time though :slurp:

Signatures, allow 2 hours

If you're doing any signature dining experiences like Cinderella's Royal Table, California Grille, etc. allow 2 hours. They do not rush the courses. Even though we were in a "hurry" due to other scheduling conflicts, and the waiters tried to acommodate our need for speed, CRT took an hour and 40 min, CG took just under 2 hours (without an appetiser...this was drinks, entree and dessert. at the first seating, so not a "back up" on orders or clearing. Guess they figure at those prices, they better make it lasting experience.)

It completely depends. I had lunch at Captain Jack's... LUNCH... and it took over an hour and a half... for just sandwiches! We couldn't believe it!

A couple of days later we had lunch at Le Cellier... had steaks... and we were in and out of there in under 45 minutes.

I usually like to budget at LEAST an hour or more for sit down restaurants!
