The "theft" implied here is park admission that wasn't paid for. You don't have to physically steal something that's monetary for it to be considered stolen.

That's my point, there's no evidence that any theft occurred, just because the people in the video said they did something and released a video that makes it look like that's what they did, it doesn't mean they did what they claimed. It's a modern day parlor trick.

While Disney's normal procedure is to serve the notice in person and to have the person sign receipt and understanding while they're still on property, I believe the laws of both Florida and California allow Disney to serve the notice by certified mail.

Oh, and the guy's name is Mike Capes.
I'm not sure it would really hold up if they just sent a letter, he could simply say he didn't get it.

In any case this doesn't seem to be the way they operate. They only trespassed Adam the Woo when he announced he was going to be on property on social media, and then waited for him at the entrance. I'm sure they would have liked to have trespassed him sooner.

I'm curious though how were you able to verify this guys name?

Exactly.
For all the editing shows us, nothing underhanded actually had to have taken place.
The stroller might have been empty when they went through the turnstiles and the man only got into it later. At a minimum, at least one other person paid admission because they had someone filming.
When they supposedly exchanged the gas station burger, it might well have been an actual Village Haus burger that they bought and then returned, to ensure that the CMs would buy the story and give them another one.
There are number of ways they could have gotten the footage at Space Mountain without actually jumping in front of anyone in line.
Finally, the (obviously planted) kid's lost stuffed mickey might have well been one they bought/brought, left on a bench, and then asked about, to ensure that the lost-and-found people would have one on hand to give back to them.

Don't think disney would really do more here other than ban him. So really, I don't think anything needs to be proven. It seems to me they could ban him on this video alone. Now, is disney going to worry about this? Maybe not. That is for Disney to decide.

That's why you use certified mail. If they really cared they'd use a process server.
If he shows up again, no problem- just serve him in person.
Again, though, if Disney follows their usual strategy they'll just let whatever this guy did slide rather than bring unneeded attention to it. I'd be surprised if they do anything at all.

I'm curious though how were you able to verify this guys name?

Oh that was easy. I just Googled "hacks of life".
His Twitter is like the fifth result that pops up.

They would need a little more than his name there's probably more than a few people in the world with the same name. Then of course an address and after that they would have to hope he actually signed for his certified letter or the process server was successful.

So people on the internet always use their real name? Are you new to the Internet?

He's a comedian living in LA. People like this starve if studios can't find them when they want them.
If Disney actually cared they could have his mailing address within minutes.

He's a comedian, doing a skit. If SNL did it would anyone call for them to be banned? No. Yet lets get out the torches and pitchforks when some other comedian does it because someone on a forum doesn't like it.

Hopefully they find the people who do this and give them this "Magical" letter...

How exactly do they enforce this? I guess with MM+ a name is tied to the ticket.

Various ways, most of which isn't really public knowledge since it's handled by their security people.
One simple thing they've done for years is screen room reservations and credit card names for people on their trespass list.
The people their human security screeners are actually keeping an eye out for in person are probably people who have been banned for much ickier and sinister reasons than the miscreant vloggers we tend to talk about, though.

I wonder how many people are actually banned.

I'm not really sure how they could trespass him. They don't even know his name. My understanding has always been that the person has to be on their property to initiate the trespass warning. He has to be identified and formally given notice.

The process used by Disney is only formality to make things water tight. All they need to do is say "you aren't welcome here" and ensure the person actually receives that notice (oral or writen)... And if they are found on property after that they can press charges.
