How Is This Achievable ???

You all scaring me! We have no choice but to go to MK that day:(...our travel plans could not be changed and we couldnt tell the kids no. Anyway we are going to try to make rope drop, midday nap and then back. We have never really had crowds on our trips and I am getting really stressed! We have a 8,7,4 and 3 year old and I am pregnant...HELP!
With some luck, the MK will only really start to get truly packed from extra visitors by the late afternoon. That is, when most young kids start to get tired. :)

Few guests really want to stay a full 24 hours in the MK. The main draw is that the park is open until 6 AM. Well that, and an early opening, so the crowds will already be there when you arrive instead of slowly coming in throughout the course of the morning.

Lilly,Thank you. I am thinking we should skip the naps and just stay until we can't take the crowds. We are driving down the day before, checking in around 7:00PM and then heading to bed not long after. Thinking we will be well rested from early bed and chilling in the car the dy before. We have had luck in the past with napping on the rail road, might try that to curtail a melt down before heading for the gates.
Our Rope drop plans are:
DH and fast kids run to Belle, Me and stroller kids FP Pan and meet at Belle
Little Mermaid
Dumbo
Rest of FL with one of us grabbing FP for Buzz when time comes
Lunch line for BOG
Future World with one of us FPing Splash or Thunder
Frontier Land
Liberty Square
Wherever our moods take us:)
As for the orginal question, my older two kids are game to go all night. If we had child care or the littles and I was not pregnant i think we would try. And epically fail on the Monorail at 4:00 AM in a you tube quality video;)

I wonder if your husband may have secrety created this part of the plan. no no no honey, you have to watch the little ones..... I guess I'll just have to run to the attractive princess belle. let me guess you are going to sit and rest while he is "dragged" to see Cinderella too?

I could stay up for 24 hours with out a problem. Just last year I had to do a round trip 1500 total mile drive after my 8 hour work day, I was up for 36 hours straight, not smart. My thing is this though, could I be in MK the entire time? I don think so. I think if I started off at rope drop in MK, then around 8-9 head to AK for their opening and then in the afternoon go to either Epcot or DHS until 11pm-12am and then head back to MK to finish it off I could do it with out issue.

Hitting the new Starbucks - a lot! I guess Red Bull, if you drink those sorts of drinks (I do not).

I would be loading up on espresso and the mocha variant. Along with lots of water.

I guess this is less of an issue at MK, but you have to stay away from the alcohol. That will completely drag you down.

And small, light meals. No pasta!! I once did a 36 hour straight stretch at work. Toward the end I ate a bagel and nearly keeled over. The carbs were like a shot of a sleeping agent.
you seem to have the best plan! you going?

LOL! Thanks! No we are not planning on going; I just have a bit of experience from my younger days (both at work and at play). :( and :D

Several people mentioned being able to to do this when they were younger, but not now. I agree. It is funny, b/c my husband and I were talking about this yesterday. we both thought if they had done this at least 10 years ago, we would have been good to go.

If I were there now, I think I would go for the early morning, eat an early (big lunch), go back and sleep a good chunk of the afternoon/early evening, and then maybe try to do the rest of the night with lots of caffeine.

This will be the second time the MK is open 24hrs. The first time was on last year's leap day. Live coverage here, so you have some indication of what you might expect: http://www.wdwmagic.com/events/one-...sney-day'---24-hours-in-the-magic-kingdom.htm

Unlike DL, the MK didn't really turn into a complete zoo that day. However, that was February. This year's 24hr event is in May, on a Friday, during Memorial Day weekend. So the MK would've been crowded regardless of any special event to begin with.

I think going very early and see how much you can get accomplished early on is a sound strategy. Normal guests won't be up yet, and the horde of Disney nerds that will flock to the 24 hrs event will spend their first few hours doing what today's Disney's fanbase always does at a special event: stand in a three hour queue for special merchandise. Which is good news for your family. ;)

BoG is exceedingly busy even on slow days. If you are short on attraction time, you could consider having lunch elsewhere and getting two or three rides in instead.
Hope you have fun, and pity about that embarrassing YouTube video we will never see!

I'm not going until 7pm or so. Getting home from school, taking a nap, and going until the event ends :)
That being said, if you spot a small teenaged girl sleeping on a bench at like 4am, don't be alarmed. That will probably be me lol

I could do that for 24 hours. Yeah, go plant myself in the PotC area and for a bit, get ice cream, water, and about 5 cups of coffee. I think I'd be good :p
The record for me is 1:00 AM. From park opening (8:00AM-ish) to then. Yeah, went to Epcot for a bit, then back to MK for dinner. :)

I'm not sure we would make it, especially with DD4, but by golly we would definitely try if we were there. In fact DH mentioned making a trip to see how well we do!

The last time I was awake for over 24 hours, I was in labor with my son (almost 14 years ago).
I don't do well without sleep and wouldn't be interested in this MK event.
