I did a quick search so I am sorry if it's been answered before.

But I am in the middle of planning our meals for our upcoming October trip. Would like to know if you have ever eaten at Shutters at the Caribbean? We will have our 3 children who will be just 4 and 2 3/4 yrs old at the time of the trip.

Thanks in advance.

I didn't find much in a quick search either, but a few posts that mention Shutters:

No reviews of Shutters here in the Review section of WDWMagic, but there are reviews over at Allears:

Hopefully some members who had a meal there can share their opinions with you!

thanks for the help. Alllears was mixed reviews but most for the better.

Anyone else have an opinion on Shutters? I booked a reservation last night and told my husband if the reviews are too bad I can just change them, but want to try and get the meals booked now since the trip is only 74 days away.

I've never eaten at Shutters, but I plan to eat there next time, as we plan to stay at CBR. I like to have one night on each trip where we stay in at eat at the resort, whatever resort we happen to be staying at.

From what I hear, though, Shutters isn't all that popular, which means that you shouldn't need an ADR. On our trip to Coronado Springs in April, we didn't make many advance ADRs, but rather waited until our trip to book them as we go. I made an ADR for Maya Grill one night, but I really don't think it was necessary. When we walked in, we were either the only group there, or maybe there was one or two other parties, but that was about it. My guess is that Shutters is about the same, meaning that an ADR really shouldn't be that much of a necessity. Doesn't hurt to make one anyway, just in case, I guess. I'm just saying that I don't think you need to run to the phone first thing in the morning on the 180 mark just for that particular restaraunt.

thanks. From some reviews it says the place gets packed and others it doesn't. Just rather have something booked, so that it's one less thing to think about for the trip, since we will be with our 3 kids who haven't been to Disney since Dec 2008. Plus my husband likes to know we have a "plan" on where we are eating the table services at.
