How in the World do some threads reach 100+ posts?

usually I think the easiest is to call some event, story, or news the best or worst thing ever. sure enough people see title and we all seem to be quite opinionated and thus, let loose and argue with one another.

plus there's a lot of fluff in big threads, if it's a big thread by the time I respond to anything ADD sets in and I respond to something way off topic.

the only time with opinionated things are when you deal with specific thread like one saying Bon Jovi is amazing and should replace Aerosmith in rock n roller coaster, these are just things I like to call facts, and so usually the only replies are those who are obviously being sarcastic by saying that Aerosmith should stay, and others who wonder why anybody would bother to post what we all know to be true deep inside

One Little Spark...
Meh, not that hard to predict.

Say something offensive, but not overly offensive, to the community at large. Then use a few shill nicks to keep the convo going so it feels like a real conversation. Before you know it...total anarchy!

Not that I do that sort of thing...but, I lived in the BBS era, and then the IRC era, and now we are antiquated with the forum era, but look at Twitter and Facebook...same stuff...different "technology"...
