How far in advance for massage reservations?

So, I was thinking of getting my wife a Swedish massage at the WL (where we will be staying the first week of feb) as a Christmas present.

Does anyone know whether these are booked far in advance, or is it something we can just figure out while we're there. I haven't pinned down our schedule yet, so it would be easier to do it when we get there an know when we'll have spare time.

Any thoughts?

I've had massages (and other h&b appts) but at SSR rather than WL. Each time we book after arrival and they're usually pretty free. they usually say that they've got availability every hour of the day! I should point out that I'm only ever booking 2 or 3 days before the day I want an appt. I'm also usually there at pretty busy times of year.

I usually make mine a few weeks before we go as I pretty well know our schedule by then. I get one every year at the Coronado. This past September, I wanted to change the time of mine and couldn't unless I changed it to the next day because they were booked for my time slot.

Thanks for the responses. Seems I'm better off making it ahead of time. Maybe I'll let my wife call on Christmas and pick her own time. That will still be a good five weeks in advance.

Its not a full SPA like GF or Saratoga. Its just the Sturdy Branches Health Club, and they offer massages and facials. Much cheaper than the full spa treatments over at GF.
