Hmmm.. I'm 10 miles from work. But it all depends on what it's like out.

Weekend: 20 minutes.
Weekday by car: 45 minutes & $13 for parking (which i rarely do)
Weekday by train: 30 minutes even.
Day with 8 in of snow: 6 hours. (from Experience)

Yes I do travel on 95 and it can be a nightmare. Believe it or not, the traffic in Norfolk on 64 is the worse. Naval base traffic- a killer.

Spent most of last weekend sitting dead in traffic on 95. Word of caution to a very unpopular guy:

When you drive a tandem tractor trailer DO NOT speed in the rain at midnight on a blind curve in a construction zone!

About 3 days a week, it usually takes me about 15 minutes to go the 6 or so miles to work. Unfortunately, since May, some brain surgeon in traffic planning in our town has managed to close, dig up, or detour just about every major road. One day, I even had to go another four miles north just to find a way to go 6 miles south. You wouldn't even believe what it was like during the massive power failure.

The other 2-3 days, it takes me about 2 minutes to get to work in the other room at home. There are occasional traffic jams at the coffee pot, though.
