How early should I buy my MagicBand+?

We fly down Dec 17 and are not staying on Disney property. When should I order my MagicBand+ from ShopDisney? I want to surprise my family with them as an early Christmas gift but I want them to pick out which ones they want so I'm trying to do it as late as possible. Thanks!

I would agree. Mine just shipped and it took over 30 days from the order date. Better to be early then not get them at all.

Shipping from shopDisney.com is pretty quick. The ones taking time are those ordered on MDE for people with upcoming Disney resort reservations.
