How do you keep the magic going at home?

Inspired by dixiegirl's "disney sickness" thread, I'd like to hear from forum members about what they do at home to keep the Disney magic going at home in between trips.

I personally prefer tasteful, non-gaudy ways to express my Disney fandom; I buy Disney merchandise which looks "normal", but upon which closer inspection reveals a Mickey ears hidden in the ornamentation. I also have many CDs of theme park music and sounds which I break out once in a while (it's great for putting the baby to sleep!).

How about you guys?

Ditto! I'm not into decorating w/ Disney - I own one disney T that I got in the children's department of the Disney Store on sale for $4... it's got Buzz on it... But I do own most of their CD's - the entire Legacy in Song collection, and love planning trips - the only evidence you'll find around my house that screams disney is the many creative memories albums that upon opening celebrate our many trips to the "world" and my antenna topper that suprisingly no one has stolen yet (had it for almost 2 years now) but it's pink and has a princess crown on it so I'm thinking that might have something to do with it... :D

I especially like to go to Disney websites that have sound bites and movies from the parks, such as disneydreams.net. I also watch movies such as "Walt:The Man Behind the Myth" and old vacation planning videos.

oohh! that was a good one - I forgot about that... I always keep my disney planning DVD's on hand, whenever I have to do all my housecleaning for the day - I put on one of those DVD's and suddenly everything seems to go alot faster... and I get excited for our next trip all over again!

I of course have movies. Cd's and Live 365, that I listen to from time to time.
Coffee mugs and souviner cups I drink out of. I sometimes put a Disney screensaver on my computer (home and work).
My fridge has Magnets from the parks, rides and attractions on them. I have pictures from my trip. Oh! I have a antenna topper too. Can't forget wdwmagic :D

Hang out here :D
Listen to park background music.
Make video edits from the footage I have taken in the parks.
Push the button on my Monorail fridge magnet to hear the monorail spiel.

Our whole bedroom, son's bedroom, one of our bathrooms and our kitchen are all done in Disney, so it's always evident. In addition, I listen to Live.365 at work every day (all day usually), and sometimes at home. Also watch Disney videos with my 2 yr. old. Man, I'm a dork...... :p

I listen to some sort of Disney music or soundtrack every day, but the theme park CD's get the most use, because I find them most effective for theraputic purposes! Before I found WDWMAGIC.com, in my free time I would watch Disney movies, search for Disney memorabillia on ebay, scrapbook my WDW photos or just sit on the couch wearing mouse ears and blankly staring at my Partners statue on top of the enertainment center while drooling on myself. Now that I've found WDWMagic.com all I do is sit at this computer wearing mouse ears and blankly staring at this website while drooling on myself. :p

BTW I am only kidding about the mouse ears! :lookaroun

Listen to theme park sound tracks in the car, sing my son's favorite songs with him (Pirates and HM soundtracks), read this forum religiously, work on plans for my next trip, read Birnbaums and Unofficial Guide, visit allearsnet.com and mousesavers daily, watch the planning videos over and over (my son loves watching them), I think that's it!

Tasteful decorations; as much as I like Disney, about 90% of the merchandise is gawdy. Still, I have little Disney touches throughout the house: a snowglobe here, an elegant MM lamp there (yes, they do exist), a little figurine or two, etc. Perhaps the only location in my house that really screams, "Disney!" is my DVD collection. Literally nearly every DVD is Disney; yet they're all true classics and the Treasures collection.

Note that the only places in Walt's house with Disney characters were his children's bedrooms.

Yes, tastefully, that is the key. Granted we have our bedroom, a bathroom, sons room, and kitchen decorated in Disney. But most or all of it is from the Disney Home Store.

My room is everything Disney. But I try to stay away from the gaudy stuff. I mainly have Snowglobes and the Partners Statue. And I found a comforter for my bed which looks VERY similar to the one at Wilderness Lodge!! It's like I'm there.

Same here, but what are we all going to do now that it closed??? Does anyone know if the World of Disney carries the special items that only they had?
