We are eating a 9:00 dinner at Ohana's on our next trip coming up in december.. and we have to get back to the Pop Century Resort afterwards.

Any ideas on how we do this?

If MK is still open at that time you can catch a bus there but if not take a bus right outside and catch a bus to Downtown Disney where you can take the bus back to POP.

The Polynesian is within walking distance to the Ticket & Transportation Center. From there you can catch a bus to Pop Century.
Within the last few years the TTC only has buses going from MK area to MGM and AK. I do not believe they have buses to the resorts any more.

Your best bet is take the bus from Poly to DTD and then take another bus to Pop.

However if you finish dinner before MK closes (for example this week MK is open til midnight on several nights) you can monorail or boat to MK and take the bus back to POP

The only resorts to which the TTC still has buses are the WL and Fort Wilderness.

I rent a car. It eliminates any uncertainty of the buses. I know renting a car is not for everyone but I never have to worry about how or when I can get from one place to another. Just my 2 cents... :D

We usually drive to WDW so we have our own car. We always try to use WDW transportation, but if we are staying out late at night we will drive... expecially if we have been in the parks all day.

Your best bet would be to follow the advice of those above who have more experience.

Most Reliable: Hop the bus to Downtown Disney and take the Pop Century Bus from there.

A Chance: Take the resort monorail to MK (see if they will let you off and if buses are still running, its possible that they are still unloading the park) From there take the Pop Century bus.

Whatever you try to do, anticipate the possibility that you'll need to call a cab. Resort services at the Poly should be able to help you out that night by at least getting you the number of a good local cab company, if need be.

Otherwise, it all depends on how late the Magic Kingdom closes that night. If it's open to 11 or midnight, you'll still be able to take the monorail over to the MK, and then tale a bus back to your resort.

Otherwise, worst case scenario, as has been said before, you should be able to take a bus to Downtown Disney, and then another bus to your resort. It'll take forever, because DD is certainly not along the way, but it's possible. As for me, I'd opt for the cab. OR, as has been suggested, you can rent a car. There are places to rent from Alamo/National ON property, so you don't have to worry about going back to the airport to get a car or something. And you could probably rent a car for one or two nights, and then return it, so it won't take a huge chunk out of the budget.

It's been a number of years since we caught a bus at TTC. Sorry my mistake, I didn't know that they eliminated most of the buses. Maybe they should considering renaming the Ticket & "Transportation Center". Doesn't quite live up to it's name anymore.
