How do you feel about current ticket prices?

Just wondering how everyone feels about current theme park prices. (Not just Disney).

Are they reasonable? Or do people pay it just because we have become used to it?

I am satisfied, but then again, as a Florida Resident, I get the seasonal pass (almost all year) for $150.00.

I really do get my money's worth.

Just wanted to see how everyone felt!

I only like Disneys parks. I have done both OIA and Universal and I felt the time I spent there was not worth the ticket price. I did OIA in 6 hours and all I skipped was Doctor Dooms puke machine (whatever its called) and Spiderman cause the last time I rode it I was not that impressed.

As an Annual Passholder for Disney I have WAY gotten my moneys worth in the short time I have had it. I will keep my passes for life thats for sure.

Now I wouldnt mind a SeaWorld pass I havent been there in years

I think that the WDW Ticket prices are okay... I wish that they were a little bit cheaper but there affordable...

Now, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure just raised their ticket prices and they are a little high but affordable:sohappy: :animwink:

Ok, maybe you could judge the park if you knew its name. IOA, not OIA. Plus it is Doctor Dooms Fearfall. Finally, how could you say you do not like spider-man. It is easily the best attraction in any park.(I'm sorry, I still love Disney) Maybe if you gave it a chance, you would like it too.

Anyway, the ticket prices are fair. I think you get the most out of your money at Universal Orlando.:sohappy:

I think the tickets are reasonable. I think most people get the hopper passes anyway, so you save a couple bucks.

What sucks, is paying $40 bucks for one day at SFNE. That's outrageous. So I have to get the season pass for $58, but I only go twice in the summer.

I guess it's all a matter of what you think is a reasonable price for an item. I know people who pay thousands of dollars traveling every year, but reuse coffee filters. Others will pay hundreds for a purse (guilty) but buy wrapping paper at the dollar store. I've paid more than the price of WDW admission for dinner or a show without thinking twice. So I think the price is "reasonable." Would I be happier if they went back to the 80s and $25 daily tickets? Of course!! Do I think current tickets are overpriced? Yes, along with most other things, but that's just the way it is! Heck, I can remember nickel sodas and penny candy! ;)

I think that the prices are reasonable, except for AK. It doesn't have as many major attractions as the other parks, so the prices should be a little lower. I also heard that prices at Busch Gardens are higher than WDW and US! Does anyone know if that's true.

Being on a tight budget when we vacation, we've never been able to afford to stay on-site. :( I wish Disney would consider giving a drastic reduction (say 60%) to ticket prices if you stay on-site. This may draw more families with smaller budgets like mine, to stay on-site.

They should offer you something for staying on site. Some king of Ticket Discount, but 60% is a little too much. Then they would have everyone staying at there hotels to save the big proce on admission.

I think it is a good idea to offer discounts for people who stay on site.

I have to say, sometimes I feel kind of bad. There are many families out there that are not as fortunate as we are. Who can't afford to go to disney. Perhaps if there was a way to get less fortunate families to experience the magic of Disney.

Or if you stay at an on-site resort, kids are free to the park, or you get 2 or 3 passes free. I dont know, something! At least free food in the park.

I dont mean this a permanent deal, just one month out of the year, or for one week.

Let me know what you think! :)

With the deal SeaWorld has done for the past 2 years (i think), you dont need a pass. Between Jan. and April or May, when you buy one day's admission, you get the rest of the year free. Florida Residents only though. We did it last year and it was the best deal we've ever gotten on theme park tickets!

You got it MOM, I know people who'll pay 40-60 bucks to go to a concertfor a couple of hours and complain about 50 to Disney where you can spend all day, get live shows, ride attractions, see a parade or two, sit and relax and hear music, stop to smell the roses, and when it's all over, see a heck of a fireworks display. Value for what you paid? I'd have to say Excellent, but its all relative. now where did I put that coffee filter? LOL
