How do they get the crane into Tomorrowland

Hi All -

Been trying to figure out via Google Maps but still not sure.

Saw the gigantic crane in Tomorrowland for Astro Orbiter last week.

For the life of me, can't determine how they maneuver the crane into that location. It's a mobile crane and not one constructed on site.

If it comes via Caribbean Way, would it fit under the Tomorrowland sign and be able to traverse the bridge?

Any other way I can't see how it would fit under the TTA.

Any insight to satisfy my curiosity would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Down the parade route to the castle hub, then into Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland signage is pretty high.

Disney still has control of the Shrinking Ray Gun from Honey I Shrunk the Kids. They utilize the shrinking process to change huge items like the cranes into movable sizes. They then maneuver the cranes into the spots where they are needed. Once finished with the work they can reverse the process and your cranes are taken out of the park.

Would like to see that myself. Love the logistics stuff
Here's the AI answer. I apologize for it being Ai:
To find Disney bus times in Google Maps, enter your starting and ending locations, select "Transit," and choose the bus option. You can then view the bus schedule and even specify a desired arrival time to see available departure times. Google Maps will also provide details on the bus route, including bus stop locations and estimated arrival times.

Sort of, but the schedule is only like the average time (like once every 20ish minutes). You can see the exact down-to-the-minute times on MDE, for your resort, under the resorts tab.

Anyways, that’s unrelated to the thread but just a piece of info if you were interested.

Please stop posting AI responses to answers. They are often incorrect and/or misleading.

AI google transit maps absolutely do NOT include Disney transit paths, routes, times, etc. Disney will route buses differently based on times of day, number of stops needed when buses are shared, etc. Disney will only say a bus runs from point a to point b approximately every 20 mins. It will not tell you how long that will take. Thats it.

You wouldn't happen to be a Disney bus driver, now, would you?

Because we ALL know how reliable Disney bus drivers are as sources of information, amIright?

When it comes to knowing where the roads lead I would trust a bus driver a lot more than some random poster. They may not know everything but if they don't know all the pathways in WDW, they won't be around for long.

How do you get a crane into Tomorrowland?

OK, first you go to LL Bean and buy an extra, extra, extra large backpack and then you stuff the crane into it. When you get to the Disney MK security line, pause to look at the pretty flowers while you watch for when the security guy isn't looking and sneak around the metal detector, find your way to Fantasyland and drop the back pack behind a bush and after hours someone from maintenance will take it out of the backpack drive it to Tomorrowland and like George is your Uncle, there it is. Simple and almost fool proof.

They would use Pym Particles but that option is only allowed in Disneyland
