How do they find your table at BoG?

I saw a guest get very sternly "Disney yelled" at for moving a table, so I assumed that they were plugged in through the floor, but since @TheHodge says that he was able to move the tables, I guess that is not the case. The mystery continues.

It's not that they're plugged in, but rather the system knows where Table 57 is located. If you move it, suddenly Table 57 isn't where the computer thinks it is.
