How different is a winter vacation?

Why would I buy something there when I already have it at home and can bring it? Spending time at Walmart or Target is not my idea of vacation.
To some extent though...It is not like they don't sell clothes at WDW.

On top of that, one could have almost anything delivered inside of 48 hours from Target or Amazon. (Probably Walmart too?)

I'm somewhat in the middle myself. For me, winter trips= more heavy packing, but we've also been known to buy something if we needed it. Someone forgets to pack underwear, shoes fall apart or get soaked. Stuff happens.

There's a good size outlet mall very close to WDW and DS has stores like Uniqlo. Uniqlo has all kinds of great (travel) clothes at reasonable prices.

Now I'm wondering how quickly DS shops can 'ship' clothing to the WDW hotels if someone buys online or calls. Can you use the WDW package delivery service if you don't go to the store in person?

There is no package delivery service at WDW, anymore.

Carrying extra baggage (especially if flying and paying for extra luggage), to me isnt worth it. I pack as well as I can judging by the weather reports but I dont bring extra stuff just in case. Then if it is suddenly cold ill buy something. The lower stress of not forgetting anything, and tons of luggage is worth it to me. That and I am going to buy souvenirs so a new disney hoody or jacket isnt horrible.

I used to stress about not forgetting anything on trips. Now I do the best i can and if i forget something (lets say toothpaste) i know the hotel has some they can give or sell me or i can run somewhere and get it. Should I pack a coat just in case? My anxiety on vacation is so much reduced. I pack super light and love it.

Although those packaged ponchos the size of a wallet (that you will never get back in the wrapper) are worth taking a few.

But that means finding your way to a target or walmart and hoping they have what you need and in your size... Plus you're spending money for no reason because you could have just brought something you own.
I said walmart and Target because they are cheaper. But you can get everything at disney springs or in the parks. I would rather pack lightly and be prepared as well as possible. Than have tons of luggage just in case. Its not like you are in the wilderness and if you dont have it you are screwed. Im not saying if the weather says its going to 40 not to take a coat. Im saying if it says its going to be 70 dont take a coat. But if it turns out to be 40 then buy a coat or hoody. I wouldnt take one "just in case"

Basically your packing a little different. You will need to bring a light jacket,pants,etc.. with you. The pools/swimming may be hit or miss. It always amazes me to see kids swimming in a pool when it's 50 degree's outside. April/May are probably my favorite months in Florida.
