Pretty crowded. You'll know because COP is open... starting tomorrow... ;) Check the park hours. If the park is open after 10Pm, then you KNOW you'll have to get Fastpasses.

Big Dates for Crowds: 24th, 25th, Saturday after Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years, etc...basically the WHOLE week, really...

Stay warm!!

The waits for the more popular attractions will be two hours or more depending on the time of day and weekday you visit. Last year at this time we saw women waiting 20 minutes to use the restrooms in the Magic Kingdom. FASTPASSes for some attractions will be gone by early afternoon. A touring plan (ahem) would be really helpful.

Incidentally, we'll be in the parks doing research Dec 27-31. I'll be in Epcot on the 28th and 29th.

Sincerely,

Len

so if i sign up for a tour thing....... i will get on rides faster???

how do i sign up?? WHERE??? HOW MUCH???

I've been there once during that week (never again!). My pieces of advice (assuming you can't postpone your trip for 10 days and enjoy very light crowds!):

1) Arrive at least an hour and a half before opening time (really!). When we did this at MGM (five years ago, btw), yes, we were there at something like 6:30 AM, but ToT and the other big rides were walk-on for about a half hour before the place started filling up.

2) Mid-day - from 1:00 to 6:00 - go back to the hotel, take a LONG nap, swim, etc. Stay away from the parks at this point - they are absolute madhouses.

3) Come back to the parks at night - still very crowded, but almost manageable. The parks are open very late this time of year.

4) Use fastpass! Try to have two at a time whenever possible! (i.e. when a window opens up, get another fastpass before riding).

5) Don't expect to do everything.

6) Be amazed when rides like the Mexico boat ride at Epcot have 45 minute waits!

We did have fun, but it takes an amazing amount of planning and readiness to avoid the worst of the crowds. A three hour mid-day nap and five-and-a-half hours of sleep from 12:30AM to 6:00AM will help you be there at the least crowded times (opening and near closing)

Because it's Christmas and New Years, it should be crowded, but I saw somthing on the news the other night about how the hotels on I drive are only up about 3-4% this year, and there are still many openings, so maybe you will be lucky with the crowds compared to years past!
