how come Dinosaurs have no presence in the parks?

Given that it's quite literally the biggest movie ever made, with three sequels currently in production, I don't think Disney's worried about its relevancy.

And even then, as long as the area is well designed and fun, it does not matter how the sequels do. My sister has never seen an episode of the Twilight Zone and barely knows what it is, and that hasn't prevented Tower of Terror from being her favorite ride.

I'm glad our expectations from what we expect from Disney after no major expansions in forever is so low...

Like it or not, Walt Disney World is probably just about done with "major expansions" once DAK and DHS get their face lifts. Why? Because it would be stupid for a vacation destination to offer more things than can be done in a week when the average traveler won't ever visit for more than a week.

I'm honestly not sure what you're talking about now.

Disney just completed the biggest expansion to the Magic Kingdom since it opened. Did you miss that?

They're now in the middle of a massive expansion to Animal Kingdom that will not only extend it to be a 'nighttime park', but add a huge new land based on the biggest movie ever made.

Low expectations?

Let's not forget the renovations to the DTD area.

I recently came to this conclusion myself.. I have not seen the movie, and have no interest in seeing it, but if the rides are fun and the theming is good (i.e. it looks good and everything flows smoothly), it doesn't really matter what it is based on.

Would I rather it be something different? Sure, but I'm going to wait to see what they do before I criticize it.

I'm still stupified how on earth they thought Ace Ventura would work in Disney....

But, then again...There has been some weirder things there....like Disney's Doug Live...

I LOVED the Dinosaurs show as a kid and now own the DVD seasons. The show was hilarious and very underrated! Easily could have been a movie. I think if they took the design of the characters and made it into a Pixar movie it could be great!
