How close to your trip can you purchase travel insurance?

I have an upcoming trip, but I didn't purchase travel insurance and I'm really starting to have second thoughts. How close to my arrival can I purchase travel insurance, should my fears get the best of me?

If you booked a Walt Disney World vacation package, you can purchase the vacation protection insurance anytime up until you are paid in full. Once you have a zero balance, even if it is prior to your 45 day mark, the insurance can no longer be added.
