The day we're going, the park closes at ten. Spectro magic is at 8:15 and wishes at nine. We want to see both spectro magic and wishes but also want to get in some rides at night. Would we have time after wishes? And are lines really short generally speaking during spectro and wishes? Thanks.

If you are in the line BEFORE the park closes up the the final second, your in. Getting on after... depends on the CM at the greeter position at the attraction your wanting to ride.

In November, we were there for extra magic hours, and we went into
the Haunted Mansion about 1 minute before park closing. We did the
ride, when we came out, it was shut down.

So, my answer is, until the very last minute!

That's what we experienced, anyway.

Yup. Unlike some other parks who close their lines early so that the queues are empty by park closing time, at Disney they keep the lines open until park closing time.

So even if there's a 90-minute wait for Midway Mania, as long as you enter the line before scheduled park closing, you'll get to ride.

Yeah my last rides were at HM last trip during MNSSHP and we went on alone at 11:58 and when we got out it looked deserted.

Thankyou to everyone for your responces, but one of my questions went unanswered. That is if wishes is at nine is there time afterward to hit attractions last minute. Thanks.

Yes, there is some time. Wishes runs about 15 minutes (maybe a little less), so there is still a good 45 minutes to hit up attractions.

Many people who don't do their homework assume the park closes after Wishes and will be heading down Main Street to leave. It's a good time to ride.

Is there a late Spectromagic that night? Sometimes they'll do Spectro at 10 a second time. If there is, I would skip the 8:15 show and go on some attractions. See Spectro at 10, when it will be much less crowded.

It also depends on two things...if you're in Animal Kingdom I know the Safari closes early...but that time is always posted as you walk in...also parks of Epcot close earlier than the park...

During Spectro lines for Splash and BTMRR and almost nonexistant. When we go in June both of those rides are walk ons during the parade but as soon as it ends the wait goes up to 30 to 45 min almost instantly.

I rode the TTA about 9 times in a row. However about the 8th time around it had an E-stop so all the trains sat there for 15 mins...After I got back to rocketower plaza I was handed a fastpass good for the next day and asked if I can stay on 1 more time and they said..Go for it..and I did and it was great!

Best strategies for each park:

DHS: queue up for TSM at xx:59
AK: queue up for Everest at xx:59
EPCOT: N/A (get to Soarin before FW closes, I suppose)
MK: queue up for Space Mountain at xx:59

Those are the most popular attractions in the respective parks near closing. If you want to maximize your time in the parks, those are the best strategies.
