How busy is the first full week of October?

So our next trip will be in October 2015. We have been the second week in September for our trips in 2011 and 2013. My first trip was Christmas thru New Years in 2007. So....what are crowds like that first week in October? A little worried about F&W crowds. Any days to avoid Epcot?

I was there during the first week of F&W and it honestly wasn't that bad for me. We went to EPCOT on Tues & Wed (generally a good idea to avoid the weekends) and besides the always busy Soarin/Test Track, we walked on to many attractions. If you're interested in F&W, hit the stands early when World Showcase opens. Hardly any lines, They definitely pick up later in the day.

Edit: Forgot to consider that F&W is starting a week earlier this year mid Sept, so that might affect crowds for Oct. a little bit. Just try to avoid weekends when you can! If you can make it through Christmas and New Years, you can make it through anything!

We visited last year 9/30-10/11 (first time at this time) and found it to be very manageable. I think the SDMT walls took up room causing some funneling and F&W was definitely less manageable than a typical Epcot day but thats to be expected. I would say avoid Epcot Fri-Sun for sure. Never waited super long for anything and in fact, we only got two FPs (we didn't test Magicbands) the whole time. Thats a first for sure!

Have a great trip!!
