Romeo (Defense Co-Or.) is a genius. Shuts down the Colts to 14 points.......kudos to the entire Defense: 4 sacks, 4 interceptions, minimal impact from James and Harrison.

But I have a feeling that once Dungy gets his Defense in-line the way he really wants it, the Colts are gonna be scary.

On to Houston!:sohappy:

*crosses fingers*

I know that the Eagles are out....but I think it's for the best.

McNabb is hurting...no sense in killing himself...Rest up...and come back with vengeance next season.

although I think she roots for the Bengals! :hurl:  :animwink:

Now, now, now, With a new coach and a renewed vigor  the Bengals are on the verge of a complete turn around. 2-14 in 2002, 8-8 in 2003, ?-? in 2004.

Then again, I hoped it would be the Colts and the Eagles in the Show. Oh well, Good luck to both team and may the team with the Michigan quarterback win (Hail to the Victors).

I'm sorry, but you are now going to be asked to leave Ohio. That post was in violation of the terms of service you agree to when you become an Ohioan. :lookaroun :p :animwink:

I guess a little history is in order...I was born and raised in Lexington, KY (please refrain from the inbred hillbilly jokes) and am a fan of all things Wildcat. When I moved to Cincinnati, I was surrounded by Bearcat and Buckeye fans. As a UK fan, you begin to root for those teams that can beat your rivals. For football, that meant Michigan. For basketball, it stays with UK (College basketballs winningest program).

So please do not revoke my membership to Ohio. I love the place and it is a great location to raise a family.

Don't let Christy bother you. She's masquerading as a secret agent while living in MICHIGAN. If anyone should be revoked and removed, it should be her for dissing Big Blue. I'll write the governor and tell him there's a troll living there!

M GO BLUE!

Sorry about the Ohio joke earlier. I lived in Michigan for 22 years and it sucked driving through Ohio to get to WDW because there are 3 state troopers for every 1 driver on I-75! Ha ha ha. Other than that, my love for Ohio stems from the outrageous UM vs OSU football games. But, when it comes down to it, I root for my Big Ten family versus this SEC joke down here. I LOVE YA OHIO!

I will say this the better team won.

That said. The officials let the game way too physical. I thought mugging was limited to New York but evidently it is legal in the secondary in New England. I can't how many times I saw Patsies with a handful of Colt's jersey as the receiver tried to head downfield.

Even Mort from ESPN said that the secondary got away with too much. I'd be wide open for an interception if the receiver is held.

Ummm...I get a kick out of this line...

This IS football afterall...what do you expect?

That being said...I'm surprised in the 4th quarter...that 2 of the Colts players actually got up after two different hits.

*makes sign*

NO QUARTERBACK IS ABOVE THE LAW

It is football but the rules state that the receiver cannot be impeded past five yards from the line of scrimage until the ball is touched.

Based on yesterday's interpretation it was you are not allowed to impede the receiver if it is within 50 yards of the line of scrimage. The secondary was blocking, holding, and anything else to prevent Marvin and co from being open. A friend of my sister knows some of the officiating crew at the Eagles/Carolina game. They were told to "let them play". Explains why little was called either direction. Manning did get away with a delay of game. They should have reviewed Stokely's "incomplete pass" given he took two steps before the ball popped out as he hit the ground but they did reverse the fumble call at the end of the game as was correct.

Bad officiating did not lose the game for the Colts. Five turnovers lost the game for the colts. Only a couple of which would have been prevented if the secondary was properly flagged.

I'm amazed Reggie Wayne could see straight let alone get up after that savage but entirely legal hit.

New England is bad enough with the Sox. We don't need the Pats to win it all. Go Panthers.

How to crawl up Freaky's hiney in two statements or less.

What do you mean we're "bad enough with the Sox?"

When was the last time the Red Sox won a World Series??? 1918!

If you want to make the argument..."Oh the Pats won two years ago...they don't need to win again" then fine...but to bring up the Red Sox??? That didn't make sense!

OH no need Dsquared :D

I'm cool ;)

Just that it made completely no sense to say that we have the red sox...we don't need the Pats to win
But, I do understand him being frustrated that the Pats made the Superbowl for the 2nd time in 3 years.

Sorry. Have a coworker who's a Sox fan and he's as annoying as a Yank's fan. Boston Globe this, Boston Globe that. The 1918 thing is so passe. Get a real loser team like the Cubbies. .

Again, not begrudging the Pats their win I just wanted a game called straight up. If they call it in the season, it should be called in the post-season.

On a side note, I didn't watch the Eagles/Panthers game but I heard it was as physical and brutual in the secondary as the colts/Pats game.

Annoying to you...but not to other Sox fans :)
Annoying to you...but not to other Yanks fans :)
The Cubbies are not a loser team...they made the playoffs.

Cubs, Sox, Yanks, and Tigers fans are some of the most diehard fans in all of sports...it comes with the territory to be annoying :D hehe jk

I agree with you about the "rules should follow throughout the playoffs". I for one, didn't notice anything "out of the ordinary" though...Manning was off of his game. 4 interceptions and a lost fumble will cause a loss. Not taking anything away from Manning because people are now saying he's "overrated" but...no...one game does not make him overrated...in fact, I think he's one of...if not THE BEST quarterback in all of football.

They made the playoffs but haven't had back to back winning seasons since the mid 70's. They haven't been in the Series since the mid 40's. They haven't won the series since 1908.

You have the curse of the Bambino.

We have the curse of a billygoat.

All things going well, the Sox meet the Cubs in the series in 04. Of course if that happens, the bases will be loaded in the bottom of the ninth of game seven and the world will end.

The best analogy I heard to the game yesterday was to college basketball. If the refs aren't calling the hacks early in the game, then quit complaining and start hacking yourself because they aren't going to change in the second half. Whether you saw it happening or not, Chris Mortensen mentioned it on Mike & Mike this morning. I assume someone at the league office got an earful this morning with a bunch of gamefilm earmarked for review.

That is one fine defense regardless to whether they got away with anything or not.
