How are the crowds....

Howdy folks.

We are looking at going to Disney World either March 20-27, 2009 or May 17-23, 2009 or May 24-30, 2009.

How do you think the crowds will be during those times. We are traveling with a 1 year old and a 3 year old.

Also, what about the weather. I know it tends to rain a lot in May.

Just trying to quickly figure something out so that I can call and book this great deal today. The rooms are filling up really quickly.

Thanks!

I am wondering the same things with similar dates. The one thing that I have come to realize is with the economy no one knows what the parks are going to be like.

My whole family vacationed in May of 2007, in the middle of the month. I don't remember the exact dates, but something like the 12th through the 20th.

The crowd levels weren't bad at all. At the time, using FastPass for the big attractions, we never waited more than 25 minutes in a line for an attraction. Many times the wait was 10 minutes or less... and we walked on or nearly walked on several attractions.

With the current state of the economy and the Buy 4 Get 3 promotion, I would imagine the crowds would stay similar.

Like the poster above, check out touringplans.com for their crowd calendar. Also, we found it worth the 20 bucks or so to pick up the Unofficial Tour Guide to WDW, as it helped us plan ahead of time which attractions to see and gave us a basic flow to our day. It helps you avoid crowds and lines, and it beats standing with a map after every attraction and arguing what to do next.

We enjoyed great weather. It rained on us once or twice the whole week, and they were both just passing showers. I think it rained overnight a few times, but since we were sleeping, didn't matter to us! It was in the high 80s or low 90s the whole week as well.

Have a great time on your trip!
