How are EMH going with the new process?

Going next month and have only two real days in the parks so we will be making the most of EMH. I was frustrated to read of the new plans to get rid of the scanning room (tickets) cards and having a bracelet to identify those of us who are resorts guests. How is this new process going? Anyone know?

Huh??

The new procedure is to scan the room keys at each attraction to confirm that you are a resort guest.

The wrist bands were the old method of identifying resort guests at EMH

That's what I meant, I know the old process, the new one sounded cumbersome to me and I was wondering if there is a log jam at attractions during EMH while you scan your resort card to get on the ride. Sorry if I was confusing in my post question, That was not my intention.

We just got back last week. Did evening EMH at Studios and MK. If Scanning means looking at the card with a flashlight they did that a few times.

Most of the times we just held up our card and they wavied us through. So if you had an old card from a previous trip and you were staying off property you could have gotten on some rides that were using the flash your card from the distance method of weeding out non property guest.

This weekend we did EMH at Epcot and Magic Kingdom. There was no CM at SSE, Norway, MS, PoTC, or HM. No one was checking anything and people were just walking on. At this point in my opinion EMH is a joke.

Wow...that is frustrating to hear! What is the point of it even being resort guests only then??

Off-site guests stay out of EMH!!!!!!!

proud to show my ID!

My wife and I are proud to show our resort ids because we have integrity and follow the rules. It's nice to keep in mind that there are lots, a vast majority, of people who do the right thing. Americans are starting to lose their sense of self integrity and self-respect. Not me...Never!

Shame on those that buck the system. They will get theirs back in kind when some other situation comes up where they are effected by the actions of someone else messing up their legitimate situation. It's called Karma folks!

I don't even understand the shopping excuse as many of the stores in Epcot were closed during EMH. I didn't really pay attention when we were in MK but I know for a fact that a lot of the stores in Epcot were closed during EMH. We were going to look in China for Olympic merchandise but it was closed as well as several small shops inside Mexico, UK and France.

You talking about morning or evening? If evening, I'm really surprised that all the pavilions wouldn't remain open. Resort guests like to spend money too don't they?

I'd be curious to know if anyone has an idea which stores / restaurants remain open during EMH in each of the parks.

I knew it was going to be like that. I'll be there tomorrow morning, and I'm gonna hit evening EMH on the 21st at MK. I want to witness this for myself :fork:

You will have to share with us how its working now, and if its better or worse.

Cause I don't like the way it sounds, maybe they are trying to iron out the rest of the wrinkles??

WOW so I could take both my old KTTK cards and sell them to non-resort guests? Wonder how much they would go for?

Just kidding. Are the CM's just being lazy? Also, going to the card system was a bad idea. But, then again how hard was it to bring a bunch of different colored wrist bands before and pick out a matching color for that night?
