Should Disney transfer a copy of Indiana Jones from Disneyland To MGM studios? Ive never been on it... I think it would make MGM more exciting.. They should at least do it. WDW is copying ToT over to California Adventure... What do you all think?

Great idea, but very expensive to do (think Dinosaur) unless the price of the technology has come down in recent years.

Also, I hope they make it MUCH better than the DL version. IMHO Dinosaur is a better ride. Granted I only rode Indy for the first time last year and had been on Dinosaur many times beforehand.

As cool as Indy is, nothing is really going on inside the ride. Sure you are whipping around in the jeep and a snake comes out at you and a boulder at the end. But on Dinosaur, there is 50X more eye candy and things coming at you or interacting with your senses.

I'd rather they theme the ride to the Mine Train chase scene, that would be exciting

Wow, I've never heard anybody say they liked DINOSAUR better than Indy. It's always been the other way around. I personally have never been on Indy, but I do enjoy DINOSAUR. A new ride like that at MGM could be really fun, but it would probably be very expensive.

If Indy have a few more animatronics to go will all their cool "set pieces" then it would be a different story.

Just think if you were going thru Dinosaur without any of the animatronic dino's around until the end. That's what Indy felt like to me (jsut themed to the movies though, of course).

For all the raves it gets, the ride has sooooo much more potential.

And yet another Direct Lift??
There's coming enough to WDW from other parks...
It's as bad as it is...

I totally agree with you KevinPage. I have been on both Indy and Dinosaur and enjoy Dinosaur more. Indy is a great ride but I like Dinosaur alot more. Another Indy ride has alot of potential and many ideas that could make it a great ride.

Corrus,

Sure it's alwasy nice to get something original. But I don't mind "lift's" that are of high quality. I'm not like the DL fans who actually have the audacity to complain about getting Tower of Terror.

If I split my time between both parks (DL & WDW) then from a selfish standpoint I wouldn't want clones. But if I don't have normal access to them, then clone away :)

It's not really a question if you want it. It's all about when. There's a reason for the new stunt show being built way on the backlot. And there's no need for two stunt shows in a park. I bet you can guess what will happen to the current one.

I have been on both Indy and Dinosaur, and IMO Indy is far better than Dinosaur. Dinosaur has some awesome AAs, but Indy has more details, more themeing, and better special effects. The story is great, the AA Indy is to die for, the onboard music adds to the excitement, and it is more wild than Dinosaur. I think Indy would make a great addition to MGM.

Keep the parks as origional as possible. Give someone the reason to visit the other parks!

Rather than build an Indy clone at MGM, why not FINISH building Countdown to Extinction? The ride in its present form only has half of its planned theming installed because the build went over-budget. That's one of the reasons people prefer the Indy ride: a lot of CTX is just black stretches of nothingness with no artifical plants or rocks to give you the impression of speed. Plus, a lot of what's in there doesn't work (Pterodactyl, anyone?). What needs to happen is for CTX to close for half a year, get its real name back, and have the imagineers finish building/installing all the planned effects. Oh, and a new in-car audio track wouldn't hurt either. The narrarator is annoying.

Your right... They really didnt finish it! are you serious! I had no idea... I do know indy has random rides though... Dino dosnt. The neame should change back to. It has nothing todo with the movie. Plus the movie Dinosaur wasn't that popular. Oh and how about Harrison Ford... maybe he can do the narrarator... Indy taking us back in time? hmmmmm

The idea is good, but disney has enough on the table right now. And if the ride is that expensive I wouldn't bet on seeing it anytime soon if at all. Would be cool though.

If one were to be built, it probably wouldn't be completed until 2008-2010 I'm guessing. I think it would be a good idea in the long run. Finish CTX now, and have an indy open up later on this decade. It could go on the west side to help take away crowds from TOT and RNR.

Indy Jones Adventure has been a rumor for many years. I think that we will soon see it in one of our parks. I'm expecting it to announced possible by next Oct. press conference. The stunt show will be nearing completion and it would give them a chance to close the aging Indy stunt show for an indy ride that would back up into the parking lot. They then could expand the parking lot across the street and have the tram travel acrosss an overhead bridge. I think that our indy ride will be a mix between the one in anahiem and the one in tokyo with a few suprises thrown in. I think that the indy ride would be a hit a bring back interest with that side of the park after the hype for the stunt show dies down. The stunt show will be like TOT and indy like RNRC. The only thing that worries me is how they are going to effectivly theme it without breaking the common tone of the attraction with movie set referances. Disney will find a way!:)

I don't think that Indy should open at MGM. Why? Attendence is dropping like crazy, yet people want all rides at all parks. I mean, there is NO reason to go to Disneyland/World if the rides are at each are the same!

That doesn't make any sense, Testrack. There's 2,500 miles of highway seperating the two Disney resort parks. Although many people have visited both parks, and a few even go to both regularly, most Americans are only going to see one Disney park complex in their lives. I doubt very seriously that the parks of the two coasts are in competition with eachother. Besides, the Forbidden Temple is an 8-year-old attraction. At this point, building another one in Florida isn't going to do anything but make more money for WDW. I've never been to Disneyland, and haven't been to WDW since 2000, mostly because nothing of interest has been added there since then until Space opened.

But as I was saying earlier, attendance to the MGM Studios isn't a big issue right now anyway. It's the second-most popular park next to the Magic Kingdom, and it's the Animal park that really needs help. I'd reccomend building an Indy ride at Animal Kingdom, but it already has one, or at least 3/4 of one.
