I did a search to see whether this topic had been discussed already and didn't find anything, so....

Has anyone seen "House of Villains" yet? Is it any good? I read a somewhat tepid review of it in one of the newspapers, but I'm sure I'll rent it this weekend anyway. Just interested in reading some other opinions on it. Thank you in advance! :)

My dad is going to the US this week, and I asked for it, along with Silly Simphonies, MM in Living Color and Snowed in at the House of Mouse. I REALLY hope he can find it!! :brick: :brick: :brick: :brick:

Great for small kids!

Mickey's House of Villains is a mixed bag. It is comprised of 8 previously released cartoons that are very loosely held together by the villains having taken over Mickey's House of the Mouse. Three Disney classic cartoons are on this DVD (Trick or Treat, 1952 - Lonesome Ghosts, 1937 and Donald Duck and the Gorilla, 1944). The other cartoons are made for TV quality. In short, three excellent pieces of animation mixed with other very poor animation. The bonus features were fun but rather short. I liked the "House Mix".

It's exactly what Talsonic said. My 6 yr old seemed to enjoy it, but I didn't care for it too much. I thought it was gonna be something new not a rehash of old stuff. I was disappointed.

I just finished watching and found it pretty cool, a great movie for Halloween. The selection of shorts was GREAT (the only one I don't like so much is the Fairy Goofy one, and you gotta LOVE John Cleese!), but I only think Snowed in at House Mouse was better because the ending of Villains was a little weird.

* SPOILER ALERT***
They had me with Sorcerer Mickey untill Aladdin came by and gave him the lamp. THAT is where it was ruined for me...
