This forum can be so current sometimes... my comments were deleted... was it was because it was political?? If so this whole thread should be removed because it links to a political book. Or was it because I mentioned the G word and shooting... Bury your heads... nothing to see here. Which, if it was removed because of that, that's your view, you get to block mine without any explanation!

More 'Hollywood Plot' crap out of DC, The only thing that stops attacks is HUMINT and good old fashioned police work 'we have not seen bad guy X in a while time to find out what X is up to' i.e. shoe leather and time.

I recall a NYtimes article in which one of the big terrorist organizations exclaimed that the one centimeter of compassion they have for life is that they do not target children, if true and I don't remember which organization, Disney might be spared from attacks or attempted attacks.
Could be wrong but I recall this being said in the interview so my faith will hope it is true.

Terrorist look for mass soft targets or people that can't fight back that will allow for media coverage. They cause terror, thus the title terrorists.
He must be trying to meet his fear mongering quota for the entire year all at once. The article said that the book is not a novel, but it seems, from the excerpt, that he tried writing one but could not think of a decent plot and, so, just threw a bunch of half baked ideas together and called the result a nonfiction work. Calling something nonfiction does not make it any less unbelievable.

No matter how careful you are, it is still possible for something bad to happen that you never thought of in your wildest dreams.. You cannot live your life in fear about something that may never happen or that you can do nothing to prevent. Sometimes someone is just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You know what's funny?
well duh...but heart disease is typically due to a person's bad habits or genetics. It doesn't go to a place at a certain time to blow people up.
You are more likely to get killed slipping in the tub, but the tub isn't trying to intentionally kill you (unless the tub is from Ghostbusters 2).

Cuz that's how DHS thinks, They think in terms of movie plots and James Bond villians. Not a bunch of bad guys with machine guns and homemade bombs like last night's murder spree in Indonesia.
